A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Jan. 11 to Sunday, Jan. 17, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, Jan. 11

• Four alarm calls received from various Flin Flon business. All were deemed to be false alarms.

Tuesday, Jan. 12

• Individual reported that a physical disability permit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

• Request to assist Child and Family Services after it received a report that a person was looking after a child while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Joint investigation revealed the allegation was false.

• Report of a person receiving text messages from an unknown number that the complainant felt were threatening in nature.

Wednesday, Jan. 13

• Report of an intoxicated male in a Flin Flon business. Police attended and spoke to the male, who claimed to have been assaulted. Further investigation revealed that no assault took place, just a disagreement between friends

• Report of a sexual assault. Suspect arrested and charged a short time after the offence was reported.

• Report of a domestic disturbance. Police attended and found a male and female fighting. Charges are pending.

• Report of a disturbance in which a person threatened suicide during an ordeal. The person was arrested and lodged.

• Report of an erratic driver near École McIsaac School. Investigation is ongoing.

• A landlord requested police assist in removing a person from a suite in which the tenant was not allowed to have visitors. Police attended and shooed the culprit away.

• An individual reported receiving a phone call from a family friend indicating their mother was being assaulted in Flin Flon. Police spoke to the apparent victim, who told police she was fine.

Thursday, Jan. 14

• Report of a dispute between a husband and a wife after the wife asked her husband to leave a family member’s house and he didn’t. Police attended and the husband left without incident.

• Report of a domestic dispute in which one of the parties involved threatened to commit suicide. Police attended and arrested the alleged suicidal person for their own safety. 

• Family members called requesting assistance as they had not heard from another member of their family and requested police conduct a well-being check. The subject of the call later phoned the family members, advising she was fine.

• False alarm at a Flin Flon business.

• An individual called to report what they believed to be a fight on Third Avenue. Police patrolled and did not find anyone fighting. No other calls received on this matter. 

• Two calls received advising of a male bleeding from his neck at a residence. Investigation revealed he fell on a broken glass.

Friday, Jan. 15

• Report of a hit-and-run that occurred when a male’s vehicle was struck while parked at his residence. An investigation  is ongoing.

• Another call received about a male bleeding from his neck. This related to the same incident reported above. Investigation revealed the male’s stitches had opened.

• Two reports of vehicles being subject to hit-and-runs on Main Street.

• Police asked to attend a residence to conduct a well-being check. Original complaint deemed false. 

• Report of a female causing a disturbance at a downtown business. She left prior to police attendance.

• Report of a male causing a disturbance at a downtown business. He left prior to police attendance.

Saturday, Jan. 16

• Report of a domestic disturbance in which a female went to her ex-boyfriend’s house and yelled at him for talking to another female.

• Report of a domestic disturbance after a girlfriend found her boyfriend was text messaging another female. The male then threatened suicide. Police attended and arrested the male, who was taken to Flin Flon General Hospital. 

• Report of a noisy party. Police attended and the party was no longer noisy.

• Report of a male who had locked his keys in the car while it was running and was unable to get a hold of someone to unlock the door for him. Reported for information purposes.

• Report of a noisy party. Police attended and found only two people in the residence. They were asked to turn the music down, which they did.

• Report of a female in the lobby of a senior’s residence saying she was there to keep warm. The caller felt this was suspicious.

• Report of an intoxicated female at a downtown business causing a disturbance. Police attended and arrested the female, who was on conditions to abstain from alcohol. She was charged accordingly.

• Report of an unwanted guest at a residence. The male was intoxicated and yelling. Police attended and arrested him.

• Report of an unwanted guest at a residence. Police attended and the suspect was no longer there. It was later learned the suspect may have stolen the complainant’s purse while leaving. Investigation ongoing. The parties are known to each other.

Sunday, Jan. 17

• Report of a single-vehicle collision south of Flin Flon. Police attended and there were no injuries to anyone. Nothing was deemed suspicious about the incident.

• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage. Nothing appeared to have been stolen from the garage.
