A summary of police calls from June 27-July 3, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
June 27
Report of intoxicated people at a local hostel who were not welcome anymore. Police attended and arrested and lodged one person.
Report of a person needing medical assistance. Police told EMS who attended and provided the assistance.
911 hang up call from a residence. Police attended and found someone had pocket dialed.
Report of a person saying they were somewhere in Flin Flon in medical distress, then the call abruptly ended. Police attended the hospital and found the person in the right spot.
Report of a domestic dispute where a couple is chasing and pushing one another. Police attended and found the couple, who were separated for the evening.
Report of an impaired driver. Police located a vehicle matching the description. The driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested for same. The driver refused to provide breath samples, therefore will be charged accordingly. They were released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police located the person who was taken to hospital but too intoxicated to be assessed. The person was lodged and brought back to the hospital when sober.
Report of trucks revving their engines.
June 28
Report of youths feuding with and threatening one another. Their parents were informed and dealt with the matter accordingly.
Report of intoxicated people sitting outside a business. Police attended and relocated the people to a residence.
Report of an intoxicated person having trouble standing in a parkade. Police located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of intoxicated people fighting with one another. Police attended and found one of the combatants still lingering. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of people outside a residence yelling at someone inside.
Report of people fighting on the street. Police attended and arrested one person, the other was taken to hospital for non-serious injuries. The arrested person was lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping on a bench outside of the hospital. Police attended and found the person as described, along with a bonus person doing the same but on a different bench. Both were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated sibling banging on the door of a residence where they were not wanted. Police attended but the person was already gone.
June 29
Report of a person believed to have a warrant for their arrest. Police researched the same and found the person did not have a warrant.
Report of an intoxicated person asking someone for a smoke, then getting aggressive when the person said no.
Report of an intoxicated person trying to fight people. Police attended and found the person now stumbling on the road. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. The person was located in a different community.
Report of a shoeless child who appeared lost. Police recognized the child who was taken home to their worried parent.
Report of a break and enter to a garage.
June 30
Report of a dog attacking another dog. The caller was given the number to animal control.
Report of a domestic assault. The suspect was located, arrested and released on conditions and a future court appearance.
Report of a sexual assault. The suspect was located, arrested, charged and remanded in custody.
Report of a group of people drinking under a parkade preventing people from getting to their cars. Police attended but the group had already dispersed.
Report of a child wearing only a diaper wandering around lost. The child was turned over to Child and Family Services. The caretaker later called to report the child missing but was told to call CFS.
Police requested to check on the well being of a person. Police found the person and their being was well.
Report of a group of people drinking alcohol openly in public. Police attempted to locate the group, however no one was seen consuming alcohol.
Report of a missing person. Police located the person, who was never missing.
Report of a person in medical distress being aggressive with EMS. EMS attended and were able to control the situation without police.
Report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance in a local hostel. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a person too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and found the person was not so intoxicated they couldn’t care for themselves.
July 1
Report of people unwanted at a residence and one person allegedly chasing another with a knife. A person was arrested and lodged, however no one would cooperate with the investigation, therefore they were ultimately released.
Report of a possible impaired driver. Police did not locate same.
Report of intoxicated people banging on someone’s door.
Report of a glass table falling out of a truck then smashing in an intersection. Police attended but the glass was swept up.
Report of two intoxicated people sleeping in front of the hospital entrance doors. Police attended and found the people as described who were arrested and lodged.
Report of intoxicated people in a residence refusing to leave. Police attended but the people were already gone.
While on patrol, police observed a person known to not have a driver’s license operating a vehicle. The person was pulled over and found to be impaired. They were arrested and brought to the Flin Flon detachment, where they provided breath samples over the legal limit. They were released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence being violent for the past 4-5 hours. Police attended and found the person now asleep. They were given a ride to a friend’s place.
Report of siblings getting into a fight with one another while intoxicated. The aggressor was arrested and lodged.
July 2
Report of an intoxicated person knocking on someone’s door. insisting it was their mother’s house even though it wasn’t.
Report of a very intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. The caller was concerned the person may have alcohol poisoning. Police attended and took the person to the hospital.
Report of a vehicle on fire, which then caught a residence on fire.
Report of a domestic assault. Police attended and arrested the suspect, who was lodged and later released on conditions and a future court date.
Report of a person stealing their partner’s purse. Follow up revealed they had since made up.
Report of a child spreading false rumors about an adult. The parents were notified and advised they would deal with the matter accordingly.
Police requested to rescue a dog who had been locked in a truck. Before arriving, the caller found their spare key.
Report of a person attending a residence armed with several knives. Matter under investigation.
Report of people fighting in a back alley. Police attended but did not locate anyone.
Report of a group of uninvited people in a backyard. Police attended but the group had left.
Report of people getting into a fight at a residence. Police attended and spoke to the person still on scene who was everyone was “all good”.
Report of an overdue traveler. The person returned home safe and sound.
Report of a domestic assault where an adult and child were both assaulted. Both were taken to hospital for non-serious injuries. The suspect was located, arrested and remanded in custody for charges of assault causing bodily harm and assault.
Report of people smashing windows. Police attended and found people were just knocking on them.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling around. The person seemed to be on a drug of some sort. The person was arrested and lodged.
July 3
Report of a group of people who do not reside at a residence drinking, therefore breaching the provincial health guidelines.
Report of a person allegedly walking around with a firearm. Police attended but could not locate anyone matching the description. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person drinking on a splash pad and trying to talk to kids. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of people yelling at each other on the street. Police attended and found it was a parent and a child arguing.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person stealing a case of beer. Staff was able to chase them down and get the beer back.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person who grabbed a knife and walked out of the house.
