A summary of police calls from July 5-11, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
July 5
Report of a window being broken at a residence. The caller did not want police to attend their residence though.
Report of a person walking around and screaming. Police were unable to locate the person, however police could hear their insults. Words hurt, you know.
Report of underage drinking happening at the caller’s residence. Police attended but no one would answer the door.
Report of loud music and arguing being heard. Police patrolled the area but could not hear anything.
Report of a family dispute over a tablet. Police followed up and the problem solved itself.
Report of a person inside a residence yelling and banging on walls. Police attended and the person refused to leave, therefore they were arrested and lodged.
Report of people threatening to throw rocks at a residence. The people left prior to police arrival.
Report of an intoxicated person at a residence needing to be rehomed. Police attended and gave the person a ride to a friend’s residence.
Report of a youth expressing ideations of self-harm. The youth later calmed down and worked it out with their parents.
Report of a person entering a family member’s hotel room and acting very bizarre. Police attended and transported the person to hospital as they were concerned for the mental health of the person.
July 6
Report of an intoxicated person passing out behind a business. Police attended and located the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.
Bear sighting!
Report of people intoxicated and yelling at the Hundred Stairs. Police attended and found all were sober but had poor manners. They were moved along.
Report of kids on a school roof. Police attended but the kids were gone.
Report of intoxicated people outside a bar causing a disturbance. Police attended but did not locate anyone.
Report of a dispute between roommates. Police attended and the problem-causer agreed to leave.
July 7
Report of a person sleeping on a bench. Police found the uncomfortable person who was taken home.
Report of an intoxicated person acting unruly in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a 911 hang up call. Police attended and learned children were playing with the phone.
Report of an assault having taken place a few days ago. Matter under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out on some steps. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
July 8
Report of an intoxicated pair bothering people at the hospital.
Report of an impaired driver. Police located the driver who provided breath samples over twice the legal limit. They were released on a pending future court date.
Report of an intoxicated person walking around, yelling and falling down.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person who was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Police requested to assist EMS with a report of a person intoxicated after consuming hand sanitizer. The person was transported to hospital.
Report of a person suffering from a mental health illness and in crisis. The person was located and transported to hospital.
Report of a fight, however when police arrived no evidence to support any fight occurred.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the floor of a bar in a puddle of their own making. Police attended and found the “wet bandit” who was arrested. The person is on conditions to not attend a licenced establishment and will be charged accordingly.
Report of a person causing problems at a residence, however they left while the call was being dispatched.
July 9
Report of an intoxicated person trying to fight a person in a residence. Police attended but the aggressor was already gone. The person later returned as did police and the person was arrested and lodged.
Multiple calls received of a person being assaulted. Police located a person who appeared injured walking. The person was transported to hospital. Investigation revealed they were assaulted by a partner, which caused a broken bone. The suspect was later located and charged with aggravated assault and breaching their court order. The person was remanded in custody.
911 call received from a residence. Police called the person back who did not have an emergency.
Report of a vehicle being taken longer than anticipated. The vehicle was later returned.
Police requested to assist an ambulance with an unknown situation. Police attended and assisted in transporting a person to hospital.
Report of an assault. The suspect was located, arrested and charged with assault and breaching a court order. The person was remanded in custody.
July 10
Report of people banging on the window of a bedroom. Police attended but were unable to locate the bangers.
Report of an unknown situation through a 911 call. Police attended and found it was a domestic assault. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. The person was remanded in custody.
Report of a person kicking at a door. Police attended and found the person still on scene, who was wanting their beer and cell phone back.
Report of shoplifting. Matter under investigation.
Report of a fight between a couple on the street. Police attended and located the couple. The aggressor was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person passing out under a sign. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an unwanted person at a residence. Police attended and the person had already left.
Report of an intoxicated person passing out behind a building. The person was located, arrested and lodged.
Report of the recovery of a stolen vehicle from another jurisdiction.
Report of spray painting to the Flinty statue utilizing materials on site from the restoration project.
July 11
Report of an intoxicated youth becoming violent in his home. Youth was arrested for breaching the peace and detained until sober.
Report of approximately eight youths drinking alcohol around a fire in a back lane. Members attended after clearing from the previous call and all youths had already departed.
Report of a non-injury vehicle collision.
Report of an intoxicated female outside a residence. The female had left prior to police even being dispatched.
Report of possible impaired driver. Patrols were made to try to locate the vehicle, but it was not found.
Report of an intoxicated female on Main Street, however the female left the area as a passenger in a vehicle while it was being reported.
Report that someone on Facebook was threatening to beat up the complainant. The complainant did not wish to proceed with an investigation but just wanted police aware in case the person showed up.
Report of an intoxicated person on Main Street. The male left the area prior to police arrival.
