A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, August 3 to Sunday, August 9: Monday, August 3 • Police responded to a complaint in Aspen Grove of a group of youths on the roof attempting to look in windows.

A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, August 3 to Sunday, August 9:

Monday, August 3

• Police responded to a complaint in Aspen Grove of a group of youths on the roof attempting to look in windows. The youths fled prior to police arrival.

• Report from a female who had been walking her dog on Main Street when the dog suddenly had to “do its business.” This angered a passing motorist who began to yell at the female.

• Report of vehicles that had been rummaged through on Kingsway Boulevard. About $15 was taken.

• Report of a bike valued at $1,000 taken from the backyard of a Kingsway Boulevard residence.

• Report of an intoxicated male sitting on a neighbour’s deck on Willis Avenue. The neighbors were not home at the time. The male left when he noticed the complainant.

• Police responded to a disturbance call on South Hudson Street in which two intoxicated sisters were arguing.

• Report of a semi-truck carrying a heavy piece of machinery that broke a phone line on Main Street.

• A heavily intoxicated male observed stumbling along on Highway 10A. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Police responded to a report of a heavily intoxicated male passed out on a driveway on Steventon Blvd. The male, 59, was picked up and placed in the care of his mother.

Tuesday, August 4

• Report of kids climbing the water tower on Hillcrest Avenue. Police attended the area but no kids were located.

• Report of an intoxicated male at the 100 Stairs. He was arrested, transported to Flin Flon General Hospital and later lodged until sober.

• Report of damage to a fence on Bay Avenue. Investigation revealed a vehicle had hit the fence with damage estimated at over $700. No suspects at this time.

• Report of an intoxicated male disturbing customers at a Main Street business. He was located, arrested and lodged until sober.

• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a Hill Street residence. He left prior to police arrival.  A short time later, a taxi pulled up to the RCMP detachment and brought an intoxicated male who had been picked up and had no money to pay the fare. The male was the same one who had caused the disturbance on Hill Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Report of a group of about 10 16-year-old youth who had been banging on a house and doors. When they left they began yelling “We love you” and “We’ll be back later.”

Wednesday, August 5

• Report of a loud party on Hill Street. Police attended and spoke with the property rep.

• Report of a break-and-enter at the City of Flin Flon yard on Channing Drive. Jerry cans and fuel were stolen along with juice boxes and some lunches. Matter under investigation.

• Report of jewellery left behind at a local hotel. When the complainant called the hotel, the hotel stated the jewellery could not be found.

• Report of an intoxicated male on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Report of four intoxicated people on Hapnot Street, one of whom was just sold a bottle of liquor. They could not be located.

• Report of three youths aged 16 to 17 underneath the complainant’s deck on North Avenue. Police attended the area but could not locate the youths.

• Report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance on South Hudson Street. She was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Report of damage to old vehicles parked on Second Avenue. Matter under investigation.

• Police attended a residence on Third Avenue to assist Child and Family Services in a child welfare matter.

• Report of loud yelling and two people being assaulted with bear spray. Police attended the scene and spoke with the property reps. People inside were uncooperative and refused to speak with police on the matter. A 911 call from that residence a short time later reported that a family member had been kicked out of the residence for drinking and was now damaging the complainant’s vehicle. The complainant then decided to go and check her vehicle and stated that nothing had happened.

Thursday, August 6

• Report of a vehicle parked on Ash Crescent that had the back window smashed. No suspects at this time.

• Report of a female
yelling on Whitney Street. Police attended and located a group of people. Investigation
revealed that a child was having a temper tantrum.

Friday, August 7

• Report of a door that was kicked in at a North Avenue residence. Entry was not gained to the property. No suspects at this time.

• Report of a loud party at a residence on Manitoba Avenue. Police attended and the party was shut down.

• Report of loud music at a South Main Street residence. Police attended and the property rep was spoken to.

• Report of a bear in a garage on Dominion Boulevard.

• Report of a truck being stolen from a Bellevue Avenue address. The truck was later located at Bakers Narrows.

• Report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a South Hudson Street residence. She was arrested and lodged until sober.

• Report of a house party on Phelan Avenue that was out of control and had underage drinking. Police attended the residence and spoke with the property reps.

Saturday, August 8

• Four alarm calls for businesses on Main Street, all of which were deemed false.

• Report of a damaged garbage box on Princess Boulevard.

• Report of a loud party on Manitoba Avenue. Numerous complaints have been received about this residence in the past couple of weeks. Investigation continuing and charges may be laid.

Sunday, August 9

• Report of a stone
being thrown through the front window of a Princess Boulevard residence.

• Report of a two-year-old child running around on Boam Street with no pants on. The child’s mother was located and Child and Family Services was notified.

• Report of a bear on Centre Street. The bear was located a short time later and disposed of.

• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a Third Avenue residence.
