A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Tuesday, Sept. 1 to Sunday, Sept. 6:
Tuesday, Sept. 1
• Report of a rock being thrown at a window on Hill Street. No suspects at this time.
• Report of harassing messages received via Facebook at Aspen Grove. Matter under investigation.
• Report of an unwanted female in an apartment on Adams Street who was taking a shower. Police attended the residence, waited for the female to “beautify” herself and then escorted her out of the residence.
• Report of a UTV being driven quickly on Flinty’s Boardwalk. The UTV was not located.
• Report of a young bear on Tamarack Drive.
• Report of an adult male throwing rocks at a van on Second Avenue. Matter under investigation.
Wednesday, Sept. 2
• Report from a mother on Bellevue Avenue who reported her adult son had come home bleeding from the head. Matter under investigation.
• Report of a hit and run causing damage to a parked vehicle at the Flintoba Shopping Centre. No suspects at this time.
• Report of a hit and run causing damage to a power pole at the Green Street apartments. No suspects at this time.
• Report of threats being uttered over an eviction notice. Complainant declined to lay charges and requested police speak to the female who uttered the threat.
• Report of a bear underneath the deck of a Willow Crescent residence. Police unable to locate bear.
Thursday, Sept. 3
• Report of two males spraying a substance, believed to be elk attractant, in the lobby of a local hotel the previous night. Matter under investigation.
• Police called to a Ross Street residence because of a fight between two brothers. Both were arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of passports and US$300 stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Green Street. No suspects at this time.
• Report of a bear on Tamarack Drive. Bear located and put down by Conservation.
• Report of two to four males who entered an unlocked door at the Personal Care Home on Church Street. They fled when approached by staff.
Friday, Sept. 4
• Report of a vehicle reported stolen from Main Street.
• Report of a hit and run that caused minor damage to a parked vehicle on Hapnot Street.
• Report of a group of teenagers who were possibly carrying a crowbar and whistling to each other in a Hill Street back lane.
• Report of an intoxicated male who assaulted three people on Hudson Street. He was arrested and remanded in custody.
Saturday, Sept. 5
• Report of two intoxicated males banging on a door on Boam Street. Both were arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of someone saying “don’t” on Green Street. Police attended and located a young couple lying on the grass. Both parties were willing participants and told to go and continue their activities indoors.
• Report of a group of 12 youths sitting across a lane of traffic in the dark on South Hudson Street. Police attended the area but the youths had left.
• Report of a male causing a disturbance at a local restaurant because he was not given a free coffee refill.
• Report of fire at a Tweedsmuir Street residence. Investigation revealed no fire had occurred but smoke was observed due to an electrical issue.
• Two intoxicated males observed walking on South Main Street. They were arrested and lodged until sober. One of them was charged with failing to comply with a condition not to consume alcohol.
• Report of people drinking under the ramp of Flin Flon General Hospital. Police attended and found two females but no alcohol. They had consumed a minor amount of alcohol and were given a ride to a sober relative.
• Report of a group of youths who threw something at a car as it drove on Third Avenue near Boam Street.
Sunday, Sept. 6
• Report of an intoxicated male who had left Flin Flon en route to Thompson while intoxicated and high on cocaine. Complainant stated the male had left an hour earlier but he could not find a phone to call sooner.
• Report of mischief to a vehicle on Main Street. The vehicle’s lights were on and the plastic covering the window was torn.
• Report of a hit and run causing damage to a parked vehicle at the Flintoba Shopping Centre. Matter under investigation.
