A summary of calls to police from Jan. 17-23, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Jan. 17
Report of a shirtless person wearing shorts and running shoes seen running down the highway. Police made patrols but could not locate the person, believed to be training for something I certainly don’t want to do.
Report from an intoxicated person reporting there is an intoxicated person in their residence and they want to go to bed. The problem sorted itself out.
Jan. 18
Report of a person messaging someone who was stating they were deathly ill and needed an ambulance. Police attended to the residence where the sickling was said to be, however learned they are in another community. Police called the person who was intoxicated and denied needing an ambulance or being sick.
Jan. 19
Report from a concerned citizen who found a youth locked out of their residence.
Report of a theft from a residence.
Report from an intoxicated person in a residence stating there was another intoxicated person within not letting them sleep. Police empowered the person to problem solve themselves, as this was an ongoing issue.
Jan. 20
Report of a person returning home and finding an ex inside who is on a court order to not be there.
Report of an intoxicated person on the ground outside of a business. The person was located as described and arrested and lodged.
Report of a theft from a beer vendor. Guess what was stolen? Beer….it was beer.
Jan. 21
Report of an intoxicated person laying on the street. Police attended and found the person as described. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of noisy people making noise in an apartment. Police attended and one of the noisy people were told to leave and they did.
Traffic stop performed on a vehicle. Police located a quantity of an illegal substance in plain view. The driver was arrested, processed and lodged to appear in court at later date.
Police were called to a report of a disturbance at a residence. While attending, a person was found walking away from the dispatch address heavily intoxicated. They did not have another place to go, therefore they were arrested and lodged. Police then attended the residence and found the disturbance was over.
Jan. 22
Report of a suspicious person parked in a driveway. Police attended and learned it was a family member of the caller.
Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check on a residence where there was not much activity. Police attended and found healthy person in the residence.
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Matter under investigation.
While conducting a curfew check on a person on a court ordered curfew, police found the person was breaching other conditions of their court order. The person was charged and served a court order to appear in court at a later date.
Jan. 23
Report of a person going to the hospital saying they were COVID-19 positive. Seems like they did the right thing.
Report of a person posting on Facebook a post referencing ideations of self-harm. Police located the person intoxicated in their residence. The person was arrested and lodged for their safety and in the morning, advised they did not mean the post.
Report of a possible domestic assault. Police attended and found a couple were fighting over how long the dogs should be left out.
Report of an unwanted person in a residence. Police called the complainant who wanted police to evict a person, however police advised that is not a police responsibility.
Report of multiple vehicles parked at a residence. The caller was concerned the person may be breaching public health orders.
Report of a domestic disturbance in a hotel room. Police attended and found a person had been assaulted. The suspect was arrested and lodged to be released on a future court appearance.
Report of a person locked out of their house and didn’t know who else to call. Police attended and were able to gain entry to the residence for the person in distress.
