A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Tuesday, Dec. 8 to Monday, Dec. 14, as provided by the RCMP:
Tuesday, Dec. 8
• After a report of a possible impaired driver in Flin Flon, a vehicle described as driving erratically was located and stopped by police. The male driver failed a roadside screening and was arrested and transported to the RCMP detachment, where breath samples were obtained. He was found to have nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system and was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired operation over .08.
Wednesday, Dec. 9
• Report of an intoxicated male in front of an establishment on Main Street. Police were advised that the male was “bugging” people as they walked by. Police attended and the man, who was found to be heavily intoxicated, was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.
• A male rang the doorbell of the detachment in the evening and upon entry was found to be heavily intoxicated. He tried to explain why he attended, but due to his level of intoxication, police were unable to understand him. The man is known to police and, for his safety, he was arrested and lodged in cells until sober. He was in good spirits and joked that he shouldn’t have attended an RCMP detachment while so intoxicated.
Thursday, Dec. 10
• While on patrol, police observed a heavily intoxicated male stumbling across Main Street at nearly 2 am. The man crossed the road and proceeded to walk into the side of a building. Police stopped and quickly determined that the man was inebriated. He was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.
• Report from an intoxicated male who advised police that he had thrown himself out of the house because he was drunk and needed to be arrested. Police attended and arrested the male, who was found in the exact state he described himself to be in. He was lodged in cells until sober.
• Police attended and arrested one man after a report of two heavily intoxicated males near the tourist information sign at the end of South Main Street. He was lodged in cells until sober. The second man had fled on foot into the bush, according to the suspect arrested. A short while later, another call was received of an intoxicated male passed out in an alley behind a local school. Police attended and arrested the male. It was confirmed that he was the suspect who fled from police earlier. He was lodged in cells until sober.

Sunday, Dec. 13

• Report of a small group of youths going from vehicle to vehicle on Adams Street at approximately 3 am. Police attended and observed tracks in the fresh snow going from vehicle to vehicle as described. One member followed the tracks on foot and observed three youths near a local school. The youths tried to hide behind a shed from patrolling RCMP vehicles before attempting to flee. Two youths were caught and arrested, while a third fled on foot. The identity of all suspects are known to police and it is believed that they have been involved in multiple vehicle thefts in Flin Flon over the last few months. All three are youths and cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Child and Family Services will be part of this investigation, which is continuing. Criminal Code charges are pending. Police are hoping to locate and return some of the property stolen from this incident.
