A summary of calls to police from May 2-8, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
May 2
Report of an impaired driver. Police located the driver a short distance away. The driver was found to be impaired therefore was arrested, brought back to the Flin Flon detachment and provided breath samples over the legal limit. The driver was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an insecure building. Police attended and found no one was inside. The property rep was contacted to come lock up the building.
Report of a 911 call from a residence. Police learned it was children playing with the phone.
May 3
Report of items being stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Police requested to assist EMS with a person who EMS were informed would become upset at the sight of them. Police and EMS attended and the person was transported without issue.
Report of a vehicle being stolen when it was left with the keys in the ignition. The vehicle was located in Creighton and a person was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and possession of property obtained by crime in Saskatchewan.
Report of a person not following provincial health guidelines.
Report of people attempting to break into a residence but ran off when confronted. Police made patrols in an attempt to locate the suspects.
Reported of an intoxicated person crying and trying to get into a residence. Police attended and found the person who was not wanted there and therefore was arrested. During the arrest, another intoxicated person came out of some woods saying they went for a swim in the river. This person was also arrested, both lodged.
May 4
Report of a group of people fighting on the street and trying to break a window at a residence.
Report of people fighting at an apartment complex.
Report of a person allegedly having been assaulted. Police attended and spoke to the victim who did not cooperate with police.
Report of a family dispute where a child allegedly broke the windows at their parents’ home. Police attended and found the windows were not broken. The child was driven to a different residence.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence trying to fight people. Police attended but the person was gone.
Report of a domestic disturbance. Police attended and found a person with self-inflicted wounds from punching windows. The person was arrested and taken to hospital where they were treated and lodged.
Report of a bicycle being stolen from a residence.
Report of items being taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Report of a missing key, believed to be stolen.
Report of suspicious people in a back alley. Police made patrols but did not locate anyone.
Report of intoxicated people refusing to leave a residence.
Report of an intoxicated child banging on their parent’s door, demanding to be let in.
May 5
Report of an unwanted intoxicated person at a residence refusing to leave. Police attended and arrested and lodged the subject of complaint.
Report of suspicious people in a back alley. Police attended and found no such people.
Report of an abandoned quad left on the road.
Report of an argument between siblings which escalated into items being thrown. One of the siblings was arrested and released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of yelling being heard from a residence. Police attended and watched as people who were being asked to leave left.
Report of a potential porch pirate.
While on patrol, police came into contact with a person who had blood on their shirt. The person stated they had been assaulted earlier, however did not want police to be involved.
May 6
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person sleeping on the sidewalk. Police arrested and lodged the person.
Multiple calls received of a group of people fighting on the street. Police attended but the group had dispersed.
While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person who was on conditions to abstain from alcohol. The person was arrested, lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital who had been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of people yelling at each other in an apartment.
Report of intoxicated people locking a resident out of their home. Police were able to gain entry and arrested the lockers, who were lodged.
May 7
Report of a teenager throwing rocks and smashing things in a residence.
Report of a child taking off from their foster parents while shopping who was now missing. The child was located the following day and returned to their foster parents.
Report of a domestic dispute where a person was chasing another around a house. Police attended and learned the aggressor was gone. Police were later called back for another dispute. Police attended and found a person who had self-inflicted wounds and was about to cause further harm to themselves. A conducted energy weapon (taser) was used to subdue the person who was taken into custody. The person was treated at hospital, lodged and returned to hospital when sober.
Report of an intoxicated person banging on the door of a residence. Police attended and found the person still on scene, who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital who had been medically cleared. The person was given a ride home.
Report of a group of children touching car tires and trying to go through cars. Police made patrols but did not locate the group.
Report of people being observed in a parking lot jumping in and out of cages which contained items. Police attended and learned the people were playing tag.
May 8
While on patrol, police came into contact with a couple having a domestic dispute on the street. The aggressor was arrested and lodged. The dispute was only verbal.
Report of a person who was let into a residence by another person banging on the door of the caller’s bedroom. Police attended but the subject of complaint was gone.
Report of a person’s child stealing their alcohol.
Report of vehicle following another too closely. A person was issued a provincial offence notice under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police requested to assist EMS to convince a person to go to the hospital.
Report of an intoxicated parent at a residence while one of the homeowners was at work. Police contacted the other resident who was home and said all was fine.
Report from a person who believed their oxygen tank had been shut off. EMS attended and assisted the caller.
Report of a person with a warrant having been seen two hours before the caller called police. Police made patrols but did not locate the suspect.
