A summary of calls to police from March 7-13, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
March 7
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. The person was located and taken to hospital for an assessment.
Report of a dispute between intoxicated mother and intoxicated child, however they agreed to separate prior to police arrival.
Report of a stolen vehicle. It was later learned a friend had borrowed the vehicle without telling the owner.
Report of an intoxicated person about to drive a vehicle. Police attended and found a person doing maintenance work on their vehicle while partaking in some adult beverages. No cause for concern.
Report of a loud argument being heard in a residence. Police attended and found a very intoxicated person screaming at their spouse. The person was arrested to prevent escalation and lodged.
March 8
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared by hospital staff but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a person needing an ambulance, but then hanging up mid call. Police and ambulance attended.
Report of a suspicious vehicle. Police made patrols but the vehicle was gone.
Report of an intoxicated person bothering customers entering a store. Police attended and found the person, along with another, now sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Both were arrested and lodged.
Report of people arguing in a residence and then picking an argument with another person. Police attended but all debaters were gone.
March 9
Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check on a person. Police attended and all was fine.
Report of a firearm being located in a bush line. Police attended and retrieved same. It is believed to be involved in a previous investigation.
Report of a person breaking a window at their parent’s residence.
Report of a residence on fire. Police and fire attended, deemed non-suspicious.
Report of an intoxicated person in a back alley who then attended the hospital and was becoming aggressive with staff. Police attended and transported the person to a sober friend.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended but the person was gone.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in ATM vestibule. They were arrested and, while transporting them to cells, police came into contact with another intoxicated person who had no place to go. They were also arrested and both were lodged.
March 10
Report of a intoxicated person knocking on the door of a residence trying to get in. Police located the person who had no idea where they were or where they were going. The person attempted to show their rapping prowess on the way to cells but it didn’t go well.
Report of an ex-employee punching a mirror belong to their old employer’s truck.
Report of people drinking alcohol on a local landmark with approximately one hundred stairs.
Report of a possible COVID-19 breach - however, none occurred.
Report of two people fighting on Main Street. Police attended and arrested and lodged both.
Report of people squatting in an abandoned residence.
911 hang-up call from a residence - however, it was a false alarm.
Report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian a few hours ago. The pedestrian wanted to report it.
Report of a missing child who didn’t come home from school. The child was located at a relative’s address.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of a dispute between a couple where items were being thrown about. Police attended and the couple agreed to separate for the evening.
March 11
Report of a person taking another’s vehicle without their consent. The vehicle was then returned.
Report from a person who was out of town that they wanted intoxicated people removed from their residence. Police attended and found everyone in the house was sober.
Report of a dispute between people in a residence where a person was shoving a garbage can in another’s face. The garbage shover then left.
March 12
Report of a break and enter to a garage.
Report of shoplifting from a local clothing store.
Report of a fight between adult siblings. Neither wanted charges laid.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self harm. Police attended and found the person was too intoxicated to be properly assessed by hospital staff therefore they were arrested and lodged.
March 13
911 hang-up call from a residence, however the caller hung up before they could provide their address.
During a traffic stop, police observed a firearm in a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was prohibited from possessing a firearm as per court conditions. The person was arrested, the firearm seized and the person was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person breaking into a residence then falling asleep while inside. Police located the person who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an argument between a couple which escalated into potatoes being thrown. The caller left the residence and agreed to stay away.
Report of an unruly patient at the hospital. Police attended and upon arrival, the patient calmed down.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm and posting same on social media. The person was located but found to be too intoxicated to be properly assessed. They were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person who fell in a back alley. Police attended and located same. The person was arrested and lodged.
