A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, May 9 to Sunday, May 15, as provided by the RCMP:
Monday, May 9
• Report of a hit and run on Main Street.
• Report of a child abusing a dog. The animal control officer was advised.
• Report of three females fighting each other. Police attended and the females had stopped fighting. They are all friends but when drinking aren’t so friendly. All parties were separated.
Tuesday, May 10
• Report of a window to a residence and truck that had been smashed. A suspect was seen running away. Matter is under investigation.
• A female called to report she had been assaulted by another female. The story became convoluted and when the complainant was asked to provide a statement, she never came to the detachment.
• Report of a female banging on her ex-boyfriend’s door wanting to get her clothing back. Police attended and it was agreed the female would return when cooler heads could prevail.
Wednesday, May 11
• Report of unwanted guests in a residence. Police attended and asked the mischievous guests to leave, which they did.
• Report of a group of intoxicated people underneath a parkade. Police attended and one of the people in the group was arrested and lodged.
• Report of a youth who had not returned home after school. The youth came home on her own accord.
• Police asked to check on the wellbeing of a female after her friend was concerned that the medication she was on and the alcohol she was drinking would not be a good mixture. All was well.
Thursday, May 12
• Report of children yelling and screaming for help, and waving their arms. Police attended and spoke to the children and adults present in the home. The children were only playing.
• During a traffic stop, police found a male driving an unregistered vehicle while having a suspended licence. He was issued multiple traffic tickets.
Friday, May 13
• Report of unwanted guests at a residence stating the homeowner owed them a small amount of money. Police attended and sent the unwanted guests on their way.
• Report of a possible domestic disturbance. Police attended and learned the couple had a verbal argument and the male kicked the door to express his frustration.
• Report of an unknown person in Channing driving a dirt bike erratically.
• Report of an assault at a local bar. The victim stated he was speaking to another male’s girlfriend and admitted to police he probably deserved to be hit. No charges pursued.
• Report of a hit-and-run that occurred a year ago.
• Report of a child custody issue. The complainant was told to seek advice from a family lawyer.
• Report of an intoxicated person lying beside a vehicle in a parking lot. Police attended and the intoxicated person was now in the van awaiting their sober driver to drive them home.
• Report of a domestic assault on Hapnot Street. Matter is under investigation.
• An intoxicated female called requesting a ride to Sherridon. The female was advised that police would not be granting that request.
Saturday, May 14
• Report of a male expressing suicidal thoughts. The male was located and agreed to voluntarily go to Flin Flon General Hospital for a mental health assessment.
• Report of a female having her laptop stolen from her unlocked vehicle overnight.
• Report of an intoxicated male stumbling around a local grocery store asking people for cigarettes. Patrols were made but the male was not located.
• Report of an intoxicated male having been cleared by Flin Flon General Hospital staff but who was now wandering around the hospital. Police attended and arrested and lodged the male.
• Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended and located the intoxicated person in front of the residence causing a scene. The female was arrested and lodged.
• Report of a dispute between ex-lovers as the male was moving out and wanted to get some belongings. Arrangements were made for the male to return at a later date to get his belongings.
• Report of an elderly female wanting to walk to
The Pas.
• Report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave a local hostel. The male then left but a second call was received of the same male being at a residence and scaring children. Police attended and arrested and lodged the male.
• Police asked to assist ambulance attendants for an unknown situation. Police attended a residence and learned a female called for the ambulance after stepping on glass on the street while not wearing shoes.
• Flin Flon General Hospital staff stated that a female had left after receiving treatment, but staff were concerned that due to alcohol levels she may not make it home safe. Police located the female, who was mildly intoxicated, and provided her a ride home.
• Report of a male passed out on South Hudson Street. Police located him and the ambulance was requested due to concerns over his health. He was transported to Flin Flon General Hospital, treated and later lodged in cells.
Sunday, May 15
• While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated male who wandered out in front of a police car, almost getting hit in the process. He was arrested and lodged.
