A summary of calls to police from Dec. 6-12, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Dec. 6
Report of siblings fighting in a residence. Police attended and found one of the combatants was breaching numerous court-ordered conditions. The person was arrested, lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Multiple reports of Christmas decorations being stolen from various properties around town. Matter is under investigation and if anyone has any info, they can report it anonymously and police will put in a good word with Santa.
Report of a 911 hang-up call from a residence. Police attended and checked the residence and found a miniature party on going. Police advised the non-occupants to scram.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in the waiting room. Police attended and located the person as described, who was arrested. The person had a friend nearby who was also intoxicated and requested to be arrested as well, in a stunning act of friendship. Their wish was granted and both were lodged in cells.
Report of an attempted theft from a beer vendor. Matter is under investigation.
Report of an unwanted person attending a suite above a residence. The residents of the bottom suite did not want them there. Police attended and the person was gone upon arrival.
Dec. 7
Report of a possible fire as a homeowner could see smoke in their residence and smell something burning. Police and fire attended and found it was a malfunctioning furnace.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence bothering people and not going to bed as requested. Police attended and found the person walking, who was then taken to their respective residence.
Report of a found cell phone. Same was dropped off to the phone service provider.
Report of a dispute which turned physical between a grandparent and grandchild. The grandchild was taken to another residence for the day.
Unknown caller called from a payphone saying someone was threatening them, however they did not leave their name or any identifying information.
Report of a person being assaulted by two others. Police located the victim who denied any assault took place, then went to a friend’s residence to lick their wounds.
Police requested to conduct a wellbeing check. Police completed same.
Report of a dispute between landlord and tenant which turned physical. Neither wanted charges.
Police requested to attend a residence with Child and Family Services to assist with a child apprehension, however when the partnering agencies arrived, no one was home.
Report of an unruly restaurant patron being removed from the restaurant, then pushing the employee.
Report of a person stealing another person’s groceries and threatening the victim with knife. The suspect was located with the groceries on their person. They were arrested for robbery and lodged. The victim, who was intoxicated, was also arrested as they were too intoxicated to care for themselves and had no place to stay.
Dec. 8
Report of a 911 hang-up call from a cell phone where heavy breathing could be heard, then someone requesting the police. Police were able to determine where the call originated from and attended. Police learned an unknown person was knocking on the door but had since left.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence overstaying their welcome. Police attended and provided the person a ride to their family members’.
Dec. 9
Report of a parcel being delivered to the wrong address and the recipients denied having the parcel. After a discussion, they agreed to give it back.
Report of a person stealing a television. The person was located near by and arrested. The person was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a tire being punctured, possibly on purpose.
Report of a person throwing another out of a residence. Police attended and all was now fine between the two.
Report of a person being robbed and bear sprayed by an unknown person. Matter is under investigation.
Dec, 10
Report of an intoxicated person lingering around a residence.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence and they were unwanted there. Police attended and arrested and lodged the problem causer.
Someone called police advising that their shoulder had been dislocated for a few years. The caller was intoxicated. Police attended and determined there was nothing police could do for the person.
Dec. 11
Report of a fight between two people which escalated to a bear spraying bonanza. Matter under investigation.
Dec. 12
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital verbally berating nursing staff. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person in the waiting room of the hospital not requiring medical attention and bothering people. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of a vehicle being stolen. The vehicle was located in Saskatchewan after it was involved in a collision. The suspect was found at the scene and arrested. They will be facing numerous charges in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba and are being remanded in Saskatchewan.
Third-party complaint of a person being assaulted. Police spoke to the victim who denied the allegation.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence causing problems. Police attended and the person was gone already.
Report of four intoxicated people at the rear of a residence that the homeowner would like removed. Police attended and they had removed themselves.
Report of intoxicated people fighting in a residence. Police attended and arrested both, who were both lodged.
