A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Tuesday, Nov. 24 to Sunday, Nov. 29, as provided by the RCMP:
Tuesday, Nov. 24
• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage on Norma Avenue. Suspect(s) gained entry to an unlocked garage before leaving with several items. No witnesses or suspects at this time.
• Report that suspect(s) had entered an unlocked vehicle on Tweedsmuir Street. Items were removed from the vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
• Four separate alarms at a Main Street business occurred. All were found to be false.
Wednesday, Nov. 25
• Three separate reports of hit-and-runs to different vehicles throughout the community.
• Report of a group of youths throwing snowballs at vehicles on Callinan Street. Police attended and conducted patrols in the area, but no suspects were located.
• Report of three flares spotted in the sky over Channing. Police attended and spoke to the complainant, who described where the flares were observed. Extensive patrols in the area were conducted and the source of the flares was not determined. There were no further calls of this nature reported.
Thursday, Nov. 26
• Report of a possible impaired driver in Flin Flon. Police conducted patrols and located the suspect vehicle. The driver failed a roadside screening test and was subsequently arrested and processed for impaired operation of a motor vehicle, among other charges.
• While on patrol, police observed a heavily intoxicated female on Main Street. She was arrested and lodged until sober.
Friday, Nov. 27
• Report of disturbance at a Callinan Street residence. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated female who was causing problems. She was lodged until sober.
• Report of a missing seven-year old-child. Police made several attempts to locate the child. She was eventually located watching the Santa Claus parade unharmed.
• Report of a disturbance at a Green Street residence. Police attended and transported a male to another residence to prevent further breach of the peace.
Saturday, Nov. 28
• Report of a possible break-and-enter to a South Main Street residence. Police attended and spoke to the occupants, who advised there were no issues. Complainant advised she saw people around the residence and thought there may be a break-and-enter in progress. Extensive patrols in the area revealed no suspects and there was no damage done to the residence.
• Three 911 calls received from the same South Hudson Street residence within minutes of each other. It was determined that the complainant was heavily intoxicated.
• Report of a missing seven-year-old child. The child was located a short while later by her sister and returned home safely.
• Report of an intoxicated female at Flin Flon General Hospital. Police attended and arrested her. She was lodged until sober.
• Report of a family dispute at Aspen Grove. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated male to prevent continuation of the dispute. He was lodged until sober.
• Report of a vehicle driving on Green Street with no plates. The complainant later saw the same vehicle and observed what appeared to be a permit on the front window. Police conducted patrols, but the vehicle was not located.
Sunday, Nov. 29
• Report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot of a Highway 10A business. The investigation is ongoing as the licence plate number was obtained and provided to police.
• Report of a family dispute on Bay Avenue. Police advised by the complainant that she was kicking her daughter out of the residence. Complainant further advised that all the belongings would be thrown outside of the residence. Police received two calls for this incident.
• Report of children tobogganing on Callinan Street toward Third Avenue. They were located and spoken to by police.
• Report of an old, spray-painted snowmobile located in the back lane of Second Avenue. The owner was located and the sled and owner were reunited.
• Report of a fight on Second Avenue. As police arrived on scene, a large group scattered, leaving a male and female behind who had been sprayed with a noxious substance. The male was uncooperative with police and said he “could take it like a man” and then ran away. The female went to Flin Flon General Hospital to be treated but was unwilling to cooperate with the investigation.
• Police responded to an incomplete 911 call on Adams Street. Upon police arrival, the complainant had been drinking with a “friend” and now did not want to care for her in her drunken state. The female was lodged until sober.
