A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Tuesday, March 15 to Monday, March 21, as provided by the RCMP:

Tuesday, March 15

• Report of a neighbour playing his music loudly. Police attended and the subject of complaint agreed to turn down his music.

• Report of an intoxicated male behind a Flin Flon business. Police attended and located the male, who was sniffing a noxious substance. He was arrested and lodged. 

• Report of a disturbance between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend that started when she went to retrieve items from his garbage. Cooler heads prevailed upon police arrival. 

• Report of an insecure premises at a local recreation club. Police attended and nothing suspicious was noted. 

• Report of a male pushing a shopping cart up the wrong side of the street. The complainant was concerned as the visibility was poor and the male could have been hit. 

Wednesday, March 16

• Police attended to a complaint of a young child being injured by a dog. The child was treated for injuries. The city’s animal control officer will handle the investigation. 

• Report of suspicious people in a truck outside a local business. Follow up revealed the people actually stole items out of the business. Investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, March 17

• Report that a landlord had recently had a renter move out and upon going back into the suite noticed extensive damage. Investigation is ongoing. 

• Report of an attempted robbery at a local gas station. Suspects did not obtain anything. Investigation is ongoing. 

• Report of an incident involving a couple being followed by an aggressive dog and then throwing a rock at the animal. This angered the dog’s owner, who threatened the male of the couple. The couple did not want charges laid.

Friday, March 18

• Report of a noise complaint. The noise stopped before police arrived, so they were no longer needed.

• Report of a possible impaired driver. The suspect vehicle was not located.

• Report of a dispute between mother and son as the son was mad because his laundry wasn’t done. Police attended and cooler heads prevailed

• Report of a dispute between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend at the male’s place of work. No charges laid.

• Report of a trailer being broken into and alcohol and an iPod stolen. 

• Report of an ex-girlfriend making veiled threats to her ex-boyfriend. Reported for information purposes.

• Report of an intoxicated male sleeping on Main Street. Police attended and found the male as described. He was arrested and lodged.

• Report of an intoxicated male on Main Street. Police attended and the male requested to be lodged for the night, as he had no place to go. His wish was granted.

• Report of a female who was intoxicated while on conditions to abstain from alcohol. She was arrested and remanded in custody for breaching her conditions.

• Report of an intoxicated male getting into a cab despite not having any money to pay for it. Police attended and arrested and lodged the male.

• Report of an erratic driver on Main Street. The driver was spoken to and warned of their behaviour.

Saturday, March 19

• Report of an assault at a local bar. Police attended and learned that two friends got into an argument that resulted in a punch to the face. Apologies were exchanged and the friendship continues to blossom.

• Report of an assault. Police attended and spoke to both parties, neither of whom wanted charged pursued. 

• Report of a male threatening another male near a local business. The person reporting did not want charges laid.

• Report of an abandoned vehicle in an uptown parking lot. 

• Report of a male possibly selling pills in front of a local business. The male was located and arrested due to high level of intoxication. He was searched and found to be in possession of antacids. It is unknown if he was trying to sell those.

• Dispute between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend in which he alleged she broke into his residence. He did not wish for charges to be laid.

Sunday, March 20

• Police received a 911 hang up call. Upon callback it was deemed to be a misdial.

Monday, March 21

• Report of an intoxicated male struggling to get up off the sidewalk. Police attended and found the male as described. He was arrested and lodged. 

• Report of intoxicated people on Main Street. Police attended and found one of the males in a local store attempting to buy hair-care products; police did not believe he was going to use this for his hair. Highly intoxicated, he was arrested and lodged. 

• Report of an intoxicated unwanted guest in a residence. Police attended and the subject of complaint was arrested and lodged.
