A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Feb. 1 to Sunday, Feb. 7, as provided by the RCMP:
Monday, Feb. 1
• Report of a hit-and-run that occurred sometime in January.
• While on patrol, police located an intoxicated male on Third Avenue. Due to his state of intoxication, he was arrested and lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
• Report of a dispute between sisters in which one was reportedly intoxicated and wouldn’t let her sister leave the residence. Police attended and cooler heads prevailed.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
• Report of a theft that occurred three years ago in Flin Flon. Matter seemed to be more of a civil issue between family members. All were spoken to and agreed this could likely be solved without police involvement.
• Report from concerned family members that another family member was involved in a bad relationship and they wanted police to check on her. Police spoke to the subject of complaint, who indicated everything was fine.
• Report of an unwanted guest at a residence. Police attended and located the subject of complaint, who was intoxicated and refusing to leave. The male was arrested and lodged.
• Report of a fight between youth family members after the older brother got upset and assaulted his younger brother and sister, and then threw items around the house. No charges laid in the matter and Child and Family Services will follow up.
Wednesday, Feb. 3
• Report of a neighbour playing loud music. Police attended and spoke to the property rep, who stated he was in the bathroom when the music suddenly turned up on its own.
• Report of a female yelling and screaming outside of a residence. Police attended and located a very intoxicated female stumbling down the middle of the road. She was the source of the noise, and was arrested and lodged.
• Report of a hit-and-run that occurred in the Flintoba Shopping Centre parking lot.
• An intoxicated female called to report that someone had stolen her phone and glasses. Police spoke to the apparent suspect, who reported that the complainant came by and was given her glasses back but that the whereabouts of the phone were unknown.
• Report of a group of intoxicated persons near a downtown business. Police attended and conducted patrols, but no intoxicated persons were located in the area.
• Report of a male being at a business despite a lifetime ban from that business. It was learned he had obtained permission to be there to purchase an item but then came back to return the item without obtaining prior permission.
• Report of an intoxicated female in a downtown business shouting, drooling, swaying on her feet and having half a sandwich caught in her hair. Police attended and arrested and lodged her.
Thursday, Feb. 4
• Report of a fight between sisters in which one sister pushed another down the stairs and threatened her. Investigation ongoing.
Friday, Feb. 5
• Report of a 911 hang-up call from a downtown business. Police attended and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Saturday, Feb. 6
• Two calls regarding a domestic argument at an apartment. Police attended and spoke to the property reps, who advised that everything was now fine. No further calls received.
• Report of a fight between mother and daughter at a residence. Police attended and the situation had calmed down.
• Report of an intoxicated female calling for an ambulance but refusing treatment when the ambulance arrived. Police attended to assist ambulance and it was learned there was no medical emergency. Due to the repeated calls and the intoxication level of the female, she was arrested and lodged.
• Report of a male passed out on Main Street. Police attended and found him as described. He was arrested and lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.
• Report of unwanted guests in a home when the homeowner was out of town. Police attended and located a male who was evading an arrest warrant. He was arrested and remanded in custody.
Sunday, Feb. 7
• Report from Flin Flon General Hospital of an intoxicated female who was cleared medically but too intoxicated to be released on her own. She had no place to go and was therefore arrested and lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act for her own safety.
• Report of a snowmobile driving down Third Avenue. Patrols did not locate the snowmobile.
• Police asked to assist with a child exchange between feuding ex-partners. Matter resolved itself without police involvement.
• Report of an intoxicated male outside a downtown bar being aggressive with patrons. Police attended, arresting and lodging him.
• While on patrol, police observed an intoxicated male walking and yelling at unknown persons. He was arrested and lodged due to his intoxication level.
