A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, July 20 to Sunday, July 26:
Monday, July 20
• Report from concerned Callinan Street parent that her son returned home high. She reported her son as a marijuana smoker but had now consumed something he normally did not.
• Report of an unknown vehicle parked in a Green Street driveway. The vehicle was not stolen and the property rep was advised the vehicle could be towed.
• Report of a possible theft in progress behind a Main Street business. Police attended and observed children building a fort with old tires.
• Report a possible domestic disturbance on Hapnot Street. Police attended residence and investigation revealed a verbal argument had taken place.
• Report of suspicious male wearing a black hoodie and balaclava or bandana on Green Street. He was observed to have something into our taken something out of a mailbox of a business.
Tuesday, July 21
• Report of two intoxicated females on Main Street. Both were arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of two youths known to a South Hudson Street complainant who had smeared feces on her door and door handle. The youths’ caregiver was spoken to.
• Report of a female who had attended a Ross Street residence demanding keys to an apartment.
• Report of an intoxicated male on Third Avenue who was passed out. He was provided with a ride to a sober friend’s house.
Wednesday, July 22
• Report of a door that had been kicked in at a North Avenue residence. Nothing was taken or destroyed, but a mess was made inside the residence.
• Report of a door pushed in at a Timber Lane business. Nothing was missing and everything was intact.
• Report of an intoxicated male on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of a vehicle driving on the “Creighton Freeway” heading to Flin Flon that was driving all over the road. It almost hit the ditch twice. The vehicle was located and the driver arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Investigation revealed the driver to be nearly four times the legal limit. The driver has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, impaired operation of a motor vehicle over .08 and six counts of failing to comply with court-ordered conditions. The male has been remanded in custody.
• Report of a one-hit alarm to a Main Street business. The alarm was deemed false.
Thursday, July 23
• Report of a male who was following a female in a white Ford F-150. The female pulled into a friend’s driveway and the truck left. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
Friday, July 24
• Report from a mother that her son was playing video games too loudly and refusing to go to sleep in Aspen Grove. The 20-year-old son was provided a ride to a friend’s house.
• Report of a male who stabbed himself in the leg on Queen Street.
• Report of an unlocked vehicle on Hudson Street that had been rummaged through. A toonie was taken.
• Report of an agitated male causing a disturbance at the City of Flin Flon. The male was arrested.
• Police attended an Aspen Grove residence for a 20-year-old male causing a disturbance. He was requested to leave and take his belongings. He left without any further issues.
• Report of an intoxicated male who had almost been struck by two cars on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of a two-hit alarm to a Green Street business. The investigation revealed the alarm to be false.
• Report from Flin Flon General Hospital of an intoxicated patient who was cleared by medical staff. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of an intoxicated male on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
Saturday, July 25
• Report of eight or nine intoxicated people on Hapnot Street. Police attended the area, but the subjects could not be located.
• Citizens on Patrol Program reported an intoxicated male walking by Rotary Park with his pants falling off, exposing his red underwear. He was located, arrested and lodged until sober.
• While patrolling Main Street, an intoxicated male was observed. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of a family member uttering threats to another family member. The complainant did not want charges laid, only that police speak to the subject.
• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at an Aspen Grove residence. Police attended and the female staying with the male stated she would look after him.
• Request to check the well-being of children at an Aspen Grove residence.
• Report of an assault at Aspen Grove where one female pushed another for no reason. The complainant requested no charges be laid but for police tell the subject of complaint not to do that. A second call was received a short time later from the other female saying that she had been assaulted first.
Sunday, July 26
• Report from Aspen Grove that a female had been left with her intoxicated sister’s children and no longer wanted to care for them. Child and Family Services attended and the children were apprehended.
• Report of an intrusion alarm on Dadson Row. Investigation revealed the alarm was false.
• Police responded to a Tweedsmuir Street residence for a report of a female who had kicked a male between the legs and slashed the tires on his vehicle. She was arrested a short time later.
• Report of a truck that was stolen from a Tweedsmuir Street residence. The vehicle was later located in Sherridon. Investigation is continuing.
• Report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 10A. The vehicle could not be located.
• Report of a female causing a disturbance at a Channing Drive residence. Investigation revealed an ex-spouse was banging on the door, wanting to see the couple’s son.
