A summary of police calls from Nov. 22-28, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:

Nov. 22

Report of multiple 911 hang-up calls from a local hotel. Police spoke to an employee, who advised they were trying to dial out and have to push 9 first and kept misdialling.

Report of loud music coming from a residence in the middle of the afternoon.

Report of people not following COVID-19 protocols.

Nov. 23

Report of a person not following COVID-19 protocols.

Nov. 24

Report of a teenager throwing a fit in their parent’s residence, then leaving. Police were then called back when the teen came home. The teen was given a ride to school.

Report of a group of people drinking and smoking in a back alley. Police attended but could not locate the group.

Report of an intoxicated person causing a disturbance in the waiting area of the emergency room. Police attended and removed the person.

Report of a person having been assaulted. Police spoke to the victim who denied the assault and did not want police to look further into it.

Report of COVID-19 non-compliance.

While on patrol, police came into contact with two intoxicated people in an ATM vestibule. Both were arrested and lodged.

Nov. 25

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. Police came into contact with the person, who was taken to hospital and assessed.

Report of siblings arguing over whose children are more misbehaved, which escalated to one of the siblings kicking the other out of their residence.

Report of an unlocked vehicle having been rummaged through.

Report of a teenager “acting up”.

Report of a missing person. Follow-up revealed the missing person just went to a friend’s house who did not have internet, therefore they could not communicate where they were.

Report of an intoxicated person wandering down the street. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

Report of COVID-19 non-compliance.

Report of a group of intoxicated people bothering staff at a personal care home.

While on patrol, police came into contact with a passed-out intoxicated person in an ATM vestibule. They were arrested and lodged.

Report of a vehicle doing donuts in a parking lot. Police only heard “donuts” and raced to the scene but were disappointed to learn it was a vehicle-related offence… the vehicle was not on scene.

Nov. 26

Report of an intoxicated person laying in a snowbank. Police attended and located the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a parent posting photos of themselves drinking alcohol and possibly doing drugs with their child in the photo. #badidea. Police attended and found that there were no drugs and there was a sober person in the residence to care for the children.

While on patrol, police came into contact with an intoxicated person in an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.

Nov. 27

Report of people threatening another over text messages.

Report of a person entering a residence then leaving.

Report of an unwanted person in a yard of a residence. Police attended but the person was gone.

Report of an assault where a person confronted another, grabbed onto them and then was pushed. The pushee wanted the pusher charged. Police advised that would not be happening.

Report of a person who was thought to be on warrant status being seen. Checks showed the person did not have a warrant.

Multiple reports of an intoxicated person falling down and then getting up and doing it all over again. The person was located, arrested and lodged.

Report of an assault in a parking lot of a store. Police and ambulance attended and located the victim, who did not wish to cooperate with the investigation.

Report of an intoxicated ex showing up at a residence unwanted. The complainant then put the person in their vehicle and was driving them to the Flin Flon detachment. Police intercepted the vehicle and arrested the passenger, who was lodged.

Report of a dispute between landlord and tenant where the landlord was working on a suite in the building they own and smoking marijuana. Police advised the tenant this was not illegal, but attended and mediated a discussion. Police were later called back as the landlord was making more noise because “it’s their right!”

Report of people being seen rummaging through an unlocked vehicle.

Report of COVID-19 non-compliance.

Nov. 28

Report of a possible impaired driver.

Report of noisy neighbours laughing and making too much noise.

Report of a theft of vehicle. The vehicle was located in Denare Beach. A person was arrested and is now pending charges in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. They will appear in court at a later date.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out on the steps of a residence. Police attended and found the person trying to hide under a rug. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person intoxicated and sleeping in a snowbank behind a residence. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a seemingly abandoned vehicle blocking a cabin. Police called the owner of the vehicle who advised the vehicle had already been moved.

Report of a 911 hang-up call from a residence. The homeowner stated they called by accident but then later called advising there is an intoxicated person causing a disturbance on the street. Police made patrols but did not locate the subject of complaint.
