A summary of police calls made from Feb. 16-23, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
Feb. 16
While on patrol police located an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. The person was awakened, arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person trying to get into their relative’s residence to no avail. As the person had no other place to go, they were arrested and taken to cells.
Report of a people possibly breaching court conditions, however further investigation revealed no such conditions exist.
Report of two youths threatening a person in their residence. The victim did not want charges laid.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. The person was arrested and lodged.
Feb. 17
Report of an attempted arson to a residence. The matter is under investigation.
Report of an unlocked vehicle having been rummaged through.
Report of a youth who has an active warrant for their arrest having just been at a residence. The youth was not located during this incident.
Report of loud snowmobiles brap-brapping.
Feb. 18
Report of a parent getting angry and smashing and throwing items when their child would not go to school. The parent left and nobody wanted any charges.
Report of a group of people drinking at the rear of a business. Police attended the group had since dispersed.
Report of a domestic dispute carrying out onto the street. Police attended and took one person into custody who then injured themselves while in custody. The person was medically treated then released for a future court date.
Police executed a search warrant on a residence which led to the apprehension of a youth who was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant. Another youth was taken into custody. The youth who was wanted Canada-wide was remanded in custody, while the other youth was released with a future court date.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a business. Police attended but the person had since got up and walked away.
Report of an intoxicated person “flipping out” in a residence. Police attended but learned the flipper-outter had since left with another person.
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared from the hospital but was too intoxicated to leave on their own. Police drove the person to a sober friend’s residence.
Report of a possible impaired driver at a local fast food restaurant.
Feb. 19
False alarm to a local business.
Report from a person who is concerned they may be a victim of fraud as they provided information over the phone that could compromise their credit cards.
Report of a person stealing liquor from the liquor store. Matter is under investigation.
Report of a person passed out at the front of a local financial institution. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person who made their voice heard. They were not happy about it.
Feb. 20
Report of a perceived breach of no contact conditions. Matter is under investigation.
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a financial institution. Police attended and found the original subject of complaint along with another intoxicated person. Both were arrested and lodged in cells.
Report of a person asking another person to hang out, but they were denied. The subject of complaint asked the complainant a few more times and they were still refuted.
Report of an intoxicated person in a local restaurant bothering customers and staff.
Report of people running down the street. Caller thought this was suspicious.
Police came into contact with two intoxicated people too intoxicated to care for themselves. Both were arrested and lodged.
Report of a disturbance coming from a residence, where yelling and banging was heard.
Report of a person allegedly having been assaulted with a stick. Matter is under investigation.
Feb. 21
Report of an intoxicated person passed out near the entrance to the hospital.
Report of an intoxicated person having left the hospital before being assessed.
An intoxicated person attended the detachment with their dogs and proceeded to tell police off. Given the person’s state of intoxication and poor choices, they were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared at hospital but too intoxicated to leave on their own.
911 hang up call from a local business. Police arrived and learned there were two intoxicated people passed out nearby. Police took both into custody and lodged them both.
Report of intoxicated people behind a business. Police attended, shooed one of the people away and drove the other back to their residence.
Several intoxicated people were seen on Main Street and relocated to sober adults.
While on patrol, a person who was known to have a warrant for their arrest was located. The person was arrested and remanded in custody.
Report of a gas theft. Police tracked down the person who had forgotten to pay. The person was escorted back to the gas station and promptly paid for the gas.
Feb. 22
Report of a missing person. The person then returned home hours later.
Report of people catching some Z’s in a bank. The people were woken up and told to scoot along.
Report of a domestic dispute. The dispute was verbal and both parties agreed to separate to let things cool down.
Report of a two vehicle collision. Nobody was injured.
Report of an impaired driver. The vehicle in question was located and the suspect was nearby. The suspect was arrested and charged.
Report of an intoxicated person who had injured themselves. The person was brought to the hospital by police where they received treatment.
Police responded to an alarm at a gas station. An intoxicated person was left at the gas station while the rest of the vehicle occupants drove off without paying for gas. The intoxicated person could not pay for the gas. The female was lodged in a holding cell until sober as alternative accommodations could not be arranged.
Feb. 23
Report of a domestic disturbance. The disturbance was verbal in nature and one of the arguers left prior to police arrival. Police ensured all the residents of the house were safe.
Report of a male going through a delivery vehicle. Fortunately, nothing was taken or damaged. Unfortunately, the subject of complaint could not be located.
Report of a garbage fire. The Flin Flon Fire Department extinguished the fire and there was nothing suspicious to suggest an arson.
