A summary of police calls from August 23-29, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
August 23
Report of a vehicle running into a tree. Police attended and were able to identify the driver, who was impaired. The driver was arrested and taken back to the detachment where breath samples were obtained which were over the legal limit. The person was released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person sending inappropriate messages to family members in another police detachment’s jurisdiction. Police attended and warned the person.
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared by hospital staff but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of unattended children playing dangerously by the road. Police spoke to the parents who were advised to keep a closer eye on their kids.
Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence. Police attended and found the person who had left and was sober.
August 24
Report of an alarm at a local business. Police attended and deemed the alarm to be false. On scene was an intoxicated person who was on conditions to abstain from alcohol. The person was arrested, lodged then later released to appear in court at a future date.
Report of people screaming on the street. Police attended and learned it was an argument between siblings.
Report of a person stealing liquor from a liquor store. The thief was located and arrested. They were later released to appear in court at a later date.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person sitting on business steps. Police arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person kicking at a door. Police attended and found the person now laying on the steps. Police arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person yelling in a bank at another person. Police attended and found the person, who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person having been medically cleared but was too intoxicated to care for themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and located the person still on scene. They were arrested and lodged.
August 25
Report of a person walking with a baseball bat - they didn’t look like they were going to batting practice. Patrols were made, but the sultan of swat was not located.
Report of people sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and all were sober and left.
Police requested to attend with paramedics for a person requiring medical attention. Ambulance attended and police were not needed.
Report of a vehicle having been damaged sometime overnight.
Report of a theft from the liquor mart. Liquor was stolen. Matter under investigation.
Report of an attempted theft from the liquor store. The thief did not make away with anything.
Report of a trio of people drinking in the open. Police attended and located the group. All three were arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling down the street. They were arrested and lodged.
August 26
Report of two people stealing a phone from a person. The two suspects were located and arrested - the stolen phone was still on them. The phone owner did not want any charges laid, just their phone back.
Report of people drinking in a back alley. Police attended and found one straggler who was very intoxicated. They were arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located two people in a fight. The fight was broken up and the aggressor was arrested and lodged. The fight was over a hat, in case you were wondering.
Report of an intoxicated person stealing another person’s cane. Police attended and located the thief, who was arrested and charged. The cane was returned to its rightful owner.
Report of persons walking into a residence and stealing a knife and cigarettes. The homeowner did not want police intervention, though.
Report of a disturbance in a residence. Police attended and removed a person who was arrested and lodged.
August 27
Report of a group of people walking into a residence and stealing items from within. Matter under investigation.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm during online game playing. Police attended and spoke to the subject of complaint, who was deemed to not be in harm’s way.
Report of an intoxicated person getting into a fight with another on Main Street. Police attended and arrested the person, who then began fighting with police. The person was arrested and lodged, later released to appear in court for a charge of assaulting a police officer.
Report of a person loitering in a back alley. Police attended but did not find any loiterers or loiterees.
While on patrol, two very intoxicated people were located uptown. Both arrested and lodged.
Report of a person having been assaulted. Matter under investigation.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling down the street. The person could not provide an address for themselves. therefore they were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person having broken a door. Police attended and located the suspect who was arrested and lodged. The person was later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Police attended but could not locate the suspects.
August 28
Report of an intoxicated person having missed their flight, which caused the caller to become concerned. Police attended and found the wannabe passenger intoxicated in the bushes near the airport. The person was arrested and lodged due to their intoxicated state.
Report of a vehicle having been damaged overnight.
Report of a person yelling at kids. Police attended and learned a parent was disciplining their children.
August 29
Report of a disturbance at a hotel. Police attended and learned the argument was only verbal.
Report of a vehicle driving erratically and running into parked vehicles. Police attended and recovered the suspect vehicle, which was stolen. Matter under investigation.
Report of a person uttering threats to another. Matter under investigation.
Report of a 911 hang-up call. Police attended and learned someone called 911 by mistake.
Report of a break and enter to a residence. Police attended and identified a suspect, who was arrested and lodged. They were later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a young child riding his bike unattended. Police identified the child, who had snuck out of the house.
