A summary of calls to police from March 29 - April 4, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP:
March 29
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated couple sleeping in an ATM vestibule. Police arrested and lodged the honeymooners.
Report of an intoxicated youth yelling outside of her grandmother’s residence. Police attended and were able to find alternative care for the youth.
Report of a person taking a bottle of alcohol into a restroom at a local restaurant and passing out inside. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a disturbance between an arguing couple. Police attended and found a couple arguing on the street. The intoxicated aggressor was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out outside of the hospital entrance. Police attended and found the person as described. Checks were conducted on the person which show they were on conditions to abstain from alcohol. The person was arrested and lodged and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of an intoxicated person uttering threats to burn down a person’s property. Police arrested the threat utterer, however the complainant declined any further action.
Report of an intoxicated person causing problems inside a residence. Police attended but learned the problem causer had left already.
March 30
Report of a loud party in an adjacent suite at a property. Police attended and learned the “loud party” was a crying baby. Police determined that there were no problems and that the baby was doing what babies do.
Report of an intoxicated person having attended the hospital now medically cleared, however they were too intoxicated to look after themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated couple arguing and the argument appeared to become physical. Police attended and arrested and lodged both participants. Both stated the argument was purely verbal and a possible witness did not wish to cooperate with the investigation.
While on patrol, police located an intoxicated person too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged in cells.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence causing problems and needing to be removed. The unwanted persons removal team attended and removed the person who was arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated injured person walking down the street obviously needing assistance. Police and ambulance attended and the person was taken to the hospital where they were treated and medically cleared. The person refused to provide a statement into the matter.
Report of a suspicious vehicle driving past a person’s home. Police attended but did not locate the vehicle that was described.
March 31
While on patrol, police located two intoxicated people doing their best trying to pretend like they were not intoxicated. Police made contact with both and found both to be very intoxicated, therefore they were arrested and lodged.
Report of intoxicated people in a residence refusing to leave. Police attended and found one of the subjects of complaint now on the street, very intoxicated. The person was arrested and lodged.
While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person walking in the middle of the road. The person was arrested and lodged for their own safety.
While on patrol, police located a person loitering in an ATM vestibule. Police made contact with the person who was found to be very intoxicated. The person was arrested and lodged.
Report of a group of intoxicated people in an ATM vestibule. Police attended, arrested and lodged three people in total.
Report of an intoxicated person in a residence allegedly becoming violent. Police attended and learned the person had already left.
Report of windows being broken at a residence. Police attended and found no windows were broken and all occupants in the residence were invited by the homeowner.
April 1
Report of a person stealing liquor from the liquor store. The thief was apprehended and lodged. The person was later released on a pending future court date.
Report of a large group of people arguing in front of a local business. Police attended and found two persons still on scene who were both very intoxicated. Both were arrested and lodged.
Report of an intoxicated person sleeping at a local bank. Police attended and found the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a domestic assault in front of a local business. The assaulter was later located and arrested. The person was released on a pending future court date.
Report of an unknown person banging on the door of a residence. Police attended but the person had already departed.
Report of an intoxicated person fighting with family members in the residence. Police attended and located the subject of complaint in the residence who tried their best to run away from the police. The person was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and resisting arrest. The person was lodged in cells and later released to appear in court at a later date.
Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm online. Police located the subject of complaint who was taken to hospital to be assessed then lodged in cells for their own safety.
Report of intoxicated person in a residence causing problems and needing to be removed. Police attended and found the person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.
April 2
Report of a suspicious vehicle driving past a person’s residence. Police attended but could not locate the suspicious vehicle.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital having been medically cleared but too intoxicated to look after themselves. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.
Report of an intoxicated person running after customers were entering a local bar.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of people yelling at a person that they were going to beat them up. Police attended but did not find any yellers in the area. The caller was unable to describe the people.
Report of intoxicated people coming in and out of the hospital acting suspicious. Police made patrols but were unable to locate the subjects of complaint.
Report of an intoxicated person at the hospital having been medically cleared and now becoming aggressive with staff. Police attended and arrested and lodged the ungrateful patient.
Report of an intoxicated child assaulting their parent. Police attended and broke up the family feud. The subject of complaint was arrested and lodged.
April 3
While on patrol, police located three intoxicated people in an ATM vestibule. None of the people had a place to go, therefore all were arrested and lodged.
Report of intoxicated people on Main Street. Police attended and found a straggler still on scene who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a group of intoxicated people on Main Street. Police attended and found three people still on scene. All arrested and lodged.
Multiple calls received of a person intoxicated and refusing to leave the residence, then they left but kept coming back. The person was located, arrested and lodged.
Report of a dispute between neighbours where threats were uttered. Police attended and took an intoxicated youth into custody. While en route to cells, the youth made a comment that they hoped the police officer’s family got COVID-19, then intentionally coughed in the officer’s face. The youth was lodged in cells and later released with a future court date and will be charged with uttering threats and assaulting a police officer.
Multiple calls received of an intoxicated youth in a residence fighting family members. Police arrived on scene and caught the family members mid-fight. The aggressor was taken into custody and lodged.
April 4
Report of a neighbour dispute where one neighbour was trying to goad the other into a physical confrontation. The instigator was warned for their behavior.
Report of an intoxicated person passed out in front of a residence. Police attended and located the person as described who was arrested and lodged.
Report of a group of intoxicated people drinking alcohol in the open. Police attended, but the group had dispersed.
Report of a patient gone missing from the Flin Flon hospital. Police located the patient, who was brought back to hospital without issue.
Report of people causing a disturbance in a residence. Police attended and spoke to the homeowner who denied any disturbance taking place.
