A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Tuesday, Nov. 17 to Sunday, Nov. 22, as provided by the RCMP:
Tuesday, Nov. 17
• Report of a family dispute on Green Street. Police attended and spoke to involved parties.
• Report from Brandon Police Service that Facebook messages from a presumably fake account were being sent indicating someone was in need of police assistance in Flin Flon. Flin Flon RCMP members attended and confirmed that the involved person was unharmed and that the Facebook messages were false.
• Report of an intoxicated male at Flin Flon General Hospital. Police attended and arrested the male. He was lodged until sober.
Wednesday, Nov. 18
• Report of a male causing a disturbance at Flin Flon General Hospital. Police attended and spoke to the male, who eventually calmed down. The situation was diffused and no arrests were made.
• Report of a residential fire on Parkway Boulevard. Police attended along with the Flin Flon Fire Department. The Office of the Fire Commissioner was also contacted to assist with the investigation. Damage done by the fire was property related.
• Report of an alarm at a South Hudson Street business. Police have received several false alarms from this location in the past.
• Report of a break-and-enter to a Second Avenue residence. Items were stolen from the house, but the suspect was known to the homeowner. Police retrieved the items and returned them. Complainant refused to pursue criminal charges because the items were returned without further incident.
Thursday, Nov. 19
• Report of a dog inside a vehicle outside of an Angel Avenue residence. The complainant contacted RCMP as they felt it was too cold outside for an animal to be in the vehicle unattended. Police attended the location and located the vehicle, but there was no dog inside.
Friday, Nov. 20
• Report of an alarm at a Princess Boulevard residence. Shortly after receiving the call, police were notified by the alarm company that the alarm was false and attendance was not required.
• Report from a male on Church Street that his intoxicated stepdaughter was at his residence screaming and throwing things around. The female had returned to her residence prior to police arrival.
Saturday, Nov. 21
• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a Fifth Avenue residence. Police attended but the male had left and was unable to be located.
• Report of a female from Aspen Grove who had received a phone call from a male claiming to work for Microsoft and was offering his services to “clean” her computer. When his services were declined, the caller said he wanted to do some rather explicit things to the complainant.
• Report of an intoxicated female passed out at a downtown service provider. She was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of four unknown persons in an unoccupied Hapnot Street residence. Matter under investigation.
• Report from an intoxicated female on Main Street that her intoxicated brother pushed her to the ground and kicked her. The brother was arrested and lodged. Matter under investigation.
• Report of an intoxicated male who kicked in his front door, striking his spouse accidently. The female then fled the residence, fearful of her husband’s intoxicated state. The male was arrested for breach of the peace and lodged until sober to prevent any further occurrences.
• Report of intoxicated male passed out by the Flin Flon General Hospital elevators. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of male passed out on the sidewalk on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of vehicle being damaged while parked during a Flin Flon Bomber game. The lock on the exterior of the driver’s side door had been punched out.
Sunday, Nov. 22
• Report of an alarm at a Main Street business. It was deemed false.
• Report of a break-and-enter to a Channing Drive garage. Nothing was reported stolen.
• Police called to keep the peace at a Bay Avenue residence while a daughter removed her belongings from her mother’s residence.
• Report of an intoxicated male passed out on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of a female banging on the door of a Bay Avenue residence. She left prior to police arrival.
