A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, April 25 to Sunday, May 1, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, April 25

• Report of a male sleeping in the hallway at Flin Flon General Hospital. Police attended and woke up the male, who was not intoxicated but stated he was tired. He was asked to leave, which he did.

• Report of a domestic disturbance between exes. A male was arrested and charged with offences relating to the call.

• While on patrol, police located an intoxicated female stumbling on Main Street and yelling. Police arrested and lodged her.

Tuesday, April 26

• Report of domestic violence involving a couple. Matter is under investigation.

• Report of a homeowner who wanted an intoxicated family member removed from a residence. The individual left prior to police arrival. 

• Report of a male withholding another person’s mail. Police made contact with the subject of the compliant and learned this was a misunderstanding. The mail was returned.

• Report of an intoxicated male who had struck his head when he fell down. The male was seen by medical staff and deemed fit for incarceration and subsequently lodged.

• Report of an unwanted guest in a home. Police attended and the subject of complaint was now sleeping, which the homeowner said was fine. The homeowner stressed they did not want anyone to go to jail.

Wednesday, April 27

• Report of a hit and run to a parked vehicle at the Flintoba Shopping Centre. 

• Report of a possible house fire on Terrace Avenue. Police and firefighters attended and learned there was no fire, only smoke from a malfunctioning sump pump.

• Report of a hit and run to a parked vehicle at the Flintoba Shopping Centre. The suspect vehicle’s owner was located but had no knowledge they had actually struck another vehicle.

• Report of an unknown male trying to enter vehicles on Hapnot Street. The suspect was located inside a vehicle upon police arrival. He was arrested and charged under the Liquor and Gaming Control Act.

• Report of an incident in which students had brought knives to a local school, stating they were carrying them for protection. Police and school staff spoke to the students.

Thursday, April 28

• Report of two female teenagers throwing rocks onto the Perimeter Highway from the top of a rock cut. Patrols were made and the females were not located.

• While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated male stumbling down Main Street. He was arrested and lodged.

• Police asked to speak to a male regarding a bullying incident in which he threatened to use violence. The male was spoken to and given advice on how to confront the issue without using violence.

• Report of a possible impaired driver on a riding lawn mower. Police located the suspect and spoke to the driver, who was drinking a Pepsi.

• Report of two intoxicated people on Main Street littering the sidewalk with beer cans. The suspects were arrested and lodged.

• Report of two intoxicated people in a local convenience store stating they were being harassed by a group outside. Police attended and ensured all parties went their separate ways.

• Report of an intoxicated female on South Hudson Street. Police attended but the female was not located.

Friday, April 29

• Report of loud music and a loud party at an apartment. Police attended and the homeowner pointed out the cause of the noise. A female was arrested and lodged. 

• Report of a disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend at a residence. Police attended and learned the argument was only verbal and the two had separated for the evening. 

• Report of a side-by-side on a trailer being stolen from behind a local business sometime overnight. If anyone has any information, contact police or Crime Stoppers.

• Report of a female making suicidal remarks to her boyfriend. The female agreed to voluntarily go to Flin Flon General Hospital for an assessment.

• Report of an abandoned vehicle that was thought to be stolen. Police checks revealed the vehicle was not in fact stolen.

• Report of an intoxicated male at Flin Flon General Hospital who had been medically cleared and deemed fit for incarceration. Police attended and provided the male with a room to sleep.

Saturday, April 30

• Police located an intoxicated male hiding underneath a parkade. He was arrested and lodged.

• While on patrol, police conducted a traffic stop on a male motorist who was driving oddly. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and failed a roadside screening test. While at the detachment, he refused to provide appropriate breath samples. He will be charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.

• Police received a call of a male apparently trying to sell a firearm in front of a local bar. Witnesses believed the gun to be fake; however, further investigation revealed it was in fact a real gun. The male was located and arrested, and the firearm was later recovered. Charges are pending against the male.

Sunday, May 1

• Report of a dispute between an ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend when the male showed up allegedly intoxicated at the female’s residence. Matter is under investigation. 

• Report of a neighbour playing his music too loudly. The male apologized and agreed to turn down his tunes.

• Police asked to transport a male to The Pas psychiatric centre for a mental health assessment.

• Report of a group of people walking toward a local business carrying pipes.
