Flin Flon RCMP Report: Assaults, mishaps, dog gets bear sprayed, curfew issues

Sept. 20 Report of an assault having taken place a few hours earlier. A 17-year-old was arrested, released and is to appear in Flin Flon court for a charge of assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats. Report of a fight outside a local bar.

Report of an assault having taken place a few hours earlier. A 17-year-old was arrested, released and is to appear in Flin Flon court for a charge of assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.

Report of a fight outside a local bar. Police attended but the fight was over.

Report of people being seen with flashlights outside a residential property. Police attended and made patrols but did not locate the group.

While on patrol, police located a very intoxicated person stumbling down the street, too intoxicated to care for themselves. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a family dispute where a person was intoxicated and scaring children within the residence. Police attended but the boogey person was gone.

Report of an assault where multiple people were assaulting one person. Matter under investigation.

Report of a breach of a no contact order.

Report of a dog attacking an owner’s partner. Matter referred to animal control officer.

Sept. 21

Report of online bullying between high school students. Police dealt with the matter extrajudicially.

Report of an intoxicated person arguing with family members in a residence and expressing ideations of self-harm. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

Report of an argument between roommates. Police attended and all was calm.

Report of a person attending a residence and trying to provoke someone into a fight over a past relationship. The person was warned as per the homeowner’s wishes.

Report of a small fire at a residence. Police and fire department attended but the fire was already out.

Wellbeing check requested on a person. Police located the person who had fallen asleep but was feeling fine.

Sept. 22

Report of a child missing their parent-imposed curfew. The child later returned.

Report of an intoxicated person kicking at a door. Police attended and found the person now sleeping on a chair in the yard. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person walking around looking confused and lost. The person was located, arrested and lodged.

Report of a teenager freaking out at a residence. Police attended gave the teen a choice of school or cells. The child chose school.

Report of a stolen bike being located while being spray painted. Police attended and gave the thief a warning as per the owner’s wishes.

Sept. 23

Report of a dispute between child and parent where the parent is intoxicated and threatening to kick down the child’s door. Police attended and gave parenting advice that was likely not listened to.

Report of a dog being bear sprayed by unknown males.

Report of intoxicated people in a residence and not wanted there anymore. Police attended and found a person had been assaulted but no one wanted any charges.

Report of children not abiding by their parent’s curfew. Both were located and returned home by police.

Report of a person allegedly being held against their will. Police spoke to the “hostage” who laughed and said they were completely fine. No evidence to support otherwise.

Sept. 24

Report of an attempted break and enter to a garage that was interrupted by the homeowner yelling at the suspects.

Report of unknown suspects banging on the side of a residence. Police attended and made patrols.

Report of a rock being thrown through a window of a residence.

Report of a small fire at an abandoned residence. Police and fire attended and the fire was extinguished.

Report of an unlocked vehicle being rummaged through.

Report of a person expressing suicidal ideations leaving the hospital despite not being seen by medical staff. Police located the person who was brought back to hospital and treated.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm. The person was arrested, brought to hospital, assessed and released.

Report of a disturbance outside a local store where people were yelling at one another. Police attended but the debate had moved elsewhere.

Report of an assault. The victim refused to cooperate with police.

Sept. 25

Report of people kicking down a door to a residence and threatening the residents inside. Matter under investigation.

Report of an intoxicated person drinking and throwing their empties on a road near a school. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

Report of an intoxicated shirtless person stumbling around. Police attended and located the person who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a dispute between two people on the street. Police attended and arrested and lodged the aggressor of the dispute.

Report of a noise complaint. Police attended and asked the homeowners to turn the music down.

Sept. 26

Report of a child not abiding by their parent-imposed curfew. The child later returned home.

Report of a tablet being stolen from a residence. Matter under investigation.

Report of a vehicle driving erratically. Police made patrols but only found nice drivers.

Report of a person talking to an unknown person who said they were going to shoot an unknown person. Matter under investigation.

Report of a person passed out outside a residence. The person was taken to the hospital.

Report of an intoxicated person walking around the hospital not needing medical attention and trying to get in. Police attended and arrested and lodged the person.

Report of an assault. Police attended and found the intoxicated caller who admitted to lying to police as they wanted a ride due to heavy groceries. The person was given a ride… to cells.

Report of a breach of a no contact order. Police attended and learned no breach actually occurred.

Report of a 911 hang up call. Police attended and learned an intoxicated person accidentally called 911.
