A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for Monday, Sept. 7 to Sunday, Sept. 13:
Monday, Sept. 7
• 911 hang-up call from an Aspen Grove apartment. Police attended and an intoxicated male had been refusing to leave the property but had left prior to police arrival.
• Report of a missing 16-year-old female on Kingsway Boulevard. She was located a short time later.
• A complainant from Aspen Grove requested that police remove her intoxicated, non-violent boyfriend from her apartment.
Tuesday, Sept. 8
• Report of banging and rattling coming from the crawl space of a Green Street residence. Police attended and nothing was located.
• Report of an intoxicated nephew refusing to go to sleep at a local hotel. Police attended and the complainant said her nephew was now behaving.
• Report of erratic driving on Third Avenue that resulted in threats being uttered. Matter under investigation.
• Report of threats being uttered on Main Street two weeks earlier. The incident was reported to police for information purposes only.
• A box of miscellaneous music CDs found on Bellevue Avenue.
• Report of two males throwing rocks at the lights on Flinty’s Boardwalk. Patrols to locate them were unsuccessful.
Wednesday, Sept. 9
• Report of a Dodge Ram 1500 truck being stolen on Phelan Avenue. The truck was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition. The driver of the stolen truck hit a parked vehicle on Anderson Avenue. The vehicle was later located in Saskatchewan. Matter under investigation.
• Report of a male inside the post office who was swearing at people on his cell phone.
• Report of an intoxicated female passed out on a couch in a Hapnot Street residence. The property rep requested police remove her.
• Report of a hit-and-run causing damage to a parked vehicle at a local business.
• Report of an intoxicated female refusing to leave a Hill Street residence. She was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of a disturbance at a local restaurant in which a mother and son were arguing over school courses.
• Report of a fire in the bushes behind the trailer court. It had been extinguished prior to police arrival.
Thursday, Sept. 10
• Report from a female on Hill Street that her intoxicated brother keeps coming around her residence and she does not want him around.
• Report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance on Main Street. He was located and arrested for breaching conditions not to consume alcohol.
• Report of two young boys, approximately five years old, driving their bikes in the middle of Ross Street. Patrols could not locate them.
• Report of a vehicle that had been damaged while parked at a local business. No suspects at this time.
Friday, Sept. 11
• Report of a disturbance on East Street. A female was arrested for failing to comply with her conditions.
• Report of a group of 10 males drinking hand sanitizer near a local business. Police were on scene within minutes of the call but the males had already dispersed and were not located.
• Report of a vehicle parked at Many Faces Education Centre that had been keyed and had the rear driver’s side window smashed out. No suspects at this time.
• Report of children throwing rocks at vehicles on Second Avenue. A large group of children were spoken to.
• Report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a local hotel. She was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of fireworks being set off near the Salvation Army church.
• Report of a group of teens who threw something at a window on Kingsway Boulevard. When the teens were confronted, police were told, they said, “Go ahead and call the police, it’s Friday night and we are going to have some fun.”
• Report of a group of teens banging on the door of an Alder Avenue residence.
Saturday, Sept. 12
• Report of a group of teens causing a disturbance at a Second Avenue residence.
• Report of an unlicenced and unregistered vehicle on South Hudson Street. The vehicle was located a short time later and towed.
• Noise complaint received from a South Main Street residence. Police attended and the property rep was spoken to.
• Report of two intoxicated males threatening customers at a local convenience store.
• While patrolling, police observed a vehicle with no headlights on disobeying a stop sign on Island Drive. The vehicle was stopped and signs of intoxication were noted on the driver. An investigation ensued that resulted in the driver providing breath samples that were twice the legal limit.
Sunday, Sept. 13
• Police observed a vehicle on Third Avenue driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped and signs of intoxication were observed on the driver. An investigation ensued and the driver will be charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
• Report of an intoxicated male trying to get into an apartment at Aspen Grove. Police attended but the male had left. Patrols to locate him were unsuccessful. The male returned a short time later and was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report a fire on Creighton Street. It’s believed that a faulty cell phone charger ignited the fire.
