The written word came to life at the Flin Flon Public Library on Friday night, where 38 readers shared their favourite works of poetry.

A number of local writers, including Kevin Imrie, Alistair Calligeri, and Gerry Hamm, shared their own poetry, while others read the words of well-known poets such as Maya Angelou and Emily Dickinson.

Poetry night is a longstanding tradition in Flin Flon. Friday marked the 14th year for the event, hosted jointly by the library, the Flin Flon Writers’ Guild and Flin Flon Toastmasters.
