Residents and businesses in the uptown area of Flin Flon lost power twice Sunday morning, potentially caused by winds.
Scott Powell of MB Hydro told The Reminder that it “appeared a portable garage...blew up into the a [power] line” at 10:15 am, affecting close to 500 customers.
Crews restored power by 11 am, but the same line went down at 11:13 am, caused by a failure in part of an insulator.
“It could have been the portable garage, but it could have been the [insulator] that caused [the outage] all along,” said Powell.
Power in the uptown area was restored fully by 11:45 am on Sunday.
