The Projects Committee receives and researches all requests for assistance. When all the information is received the committee chair brings the request information along with a proposal to the General Membership. Ongoing Projects and Activities include: Pancake Breakfasts at Bakers Narrows Day - Every year sees the Lions out at the park cooking up pancakes, sausage and of course everything that goes with the breakfast. Other special occasions may see the Lions out flipping those cakes. Lions have many requests to cook hotdogs, smokies, steak or whatever. There is no fee but the organization requesting this service buys the food and all supplies, we do the cooking. A monitory donation is made to the club. Lions Handivan - This unique project has provided a means of transport for many in the Flin Flon area. Owned by the Flin Flon Lions, it is operated by the Flin Flon/Creighton Seniors, and serviced by volunteer drivers some of which are Lions members. The Handivan has become a symbol of service for the Lions. CNIB Tag Day - Every year the Lions take to the streets of Flin Flon for the annual Tag Day. All monies raised from this tag day go directly to the CNIB. This Tag Day is very capably directed by Lion Peter Popp. Thank you for your generosity in the past and we look forward to your ongoing support. Christmas Party at the Personal Care Home - This yearly event has Lions and their partners in service singing Christmas Carols with the help of some of the residents. Flin Flon Lions also donate a sum of money for Christmas gifts for the residents. Lions Service Day - This is a yearly event at the Northern Lights Manor. The Lions entertain and sing, ending with cake being served that is brought by the Flin Flon Lion L's. Wilderness Experience - This is a camp for physically challenged residents of the community. Flin Flon Lions sponsor a candidate from our community. For more details or an application please contact Lion Roger Poirier. Speakoff - This is new to our community, and zone. Bomber 50/50 Tickets - This season the Flin Flon Lions Club have been asked by the Bombers to help with ticket sales, door tickets and programs. Lion Harold Spring is spearheading this project.
