The City of Flin Flon has filled its most pressing vacancy with the recent hiring of a new director of works and operations.
Charles Boulet, currently chief administrative officer for the Town of Snow Lake, will begin his new position in Flin Flon on June 1.
“We’re very pleased to be getting him and it turned out very well,” said Mayor Cal Huntley. “He’s familiar with the North and he’s got a really good resume and some really good experience, so we’re looking forward to that.”
Coun. Bill Hanson added that Boulet “brings a lot to the table.”
Flin Flon has been without a works and operations director since mid February when Rick Bacon resigned after more than a decade in the post.
Bacon accepted a position in Alberta after a tenure that included major municipal projects such as the sewage treatment plant and water treatment plant.
