The Northern Health Region is searching for volunteers to assist visitors to the Flin Flon General Hospital during construction of the new emergency department.
“We need volunteers to greet visitors and provide information and directions as they enter the hospital during construction,” reads a poster put out by the NHR. “Any offer of time will be greatly appreciated.”

A police record check with a vulnerable sector clearance, and a child abuse registry check are required. NRH will reimburse fees.
Construction on the new emergency department is slated to begin this spring. As of Monday, the tender for the $22-million project had not been awarded.
