Flin Flon firefighters responded to five calls in March: Friday, March 11 7:01 am: A call from 911 stated that the hydro lines were down in front of a Centre Street residence.

Friday, March 11 7:01 am: A call from 911 stated that the hydro lines were down in front of a Centre Street residence. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was false, as it was the telephone lines. The on-call officer and seven firefighters responded.

Monday, March 14, 9:50 am: A call was received from 911 stating the alarms were activated inside the Aqua Centre. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was caused by a heat detector that was hit. The on-call officer and eight firefighters responded.

Tuesday, March 22, 11:37 am: A call was received from 911 stating the fire alarm system had been activated inside Ruth Betts Community School. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the cause of the alarm was a two-year-old child pulling a pull station. The fire chief and eight firefighters responded.

Tuesday, March 22, 10:48 pm: A call was received from 911 stating there was a house fire on Third Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the home. The fire had started in the bedroom and had extended into the attic and living room. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the home sustained substantial fire and smoke damage. The on-call officer and 20 firefighters responded.

Wednesday, March 30, 8 am: A call was received from 911 stating there was a fire in the kitchen at the Personal Care Home and that the area had been evacuated. Upon arrival, the fire chief found that the alarm was false and was a fire drill that was not called into the alarm company. The hospital was sent a bill. The fire chief and 13 firefighters responded.
