A summary of calls to the Flin Flon Fire Dept. for the month of January:
Jan. 1, 6:58 pm: A call from 911 stated the ambulance required assistance with a patient. Upon arrival, firefighters assisted ambulance personnel with the patient. The on-call officer and six firefighters responded.
Jan. 20, 5:05 pm: A call from 911 stated the fire alarm system had activated inside a South Hudson Street home. Upon arrival, firefighters determined a cooking fire caused the alarm. The fire was out upon their arrival and the house was ventilated. The on-call officer and nine firefighters responded.
Jan. 21, 12:26 pm: A call from 911 stated the alarms were activated inside a Centre Street home. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was false. The fire chief and six firefighters responded.
Jan. 21, 3:55 pm: A call from 911 stated a vehicle parked on Hapnot Street was leaking fluid. Upon arrival, firefighters found nothing. The fire chief and 10 firefighters responded.
Jan. 23, 5:20 pm: A call from 911 stated the alarm system had activated inside an Island Drive home. Firefighters responded to the fire hall but did not respond to the residence given that 911 called back to say the call was false.
Jan. 24, 8:30 am: A call from 911 stated there was a small fire at a Second Avenue home. Upon arrival, firefighters found a jerry can that had been set on fire, but the fire was out. RCMP were called to investigate. The on-call officer and 13 firefighters responded.
