Two calls made for a quiet November for Flin Flon
firefighters:
Nov. 9, 1:02 pm: A call from 911 stated a resident could smell smoke in her home on Milton Street. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the smoke was coming from an arcing thermostat. The homeowner was told to call an electrician. The on-call officer and six firefighters responded.
Nov. 27, 8:50 am: A call from 911 stated the fire alarm system had been activated inside the seniors’ apartment complex at 2 Hemlock Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was false. The fire chief and five firefighters responded.
