City crews on Monday dug into First Avenue between Pioneer Square and the Barrow Provincial Building after confirming a water leak on the connection for the latter property. Director of Works and Operations Rick Bacon hoped to have the problem remedied the same day but said it was slow digging given the frost in the ground and the proximity to the water line.
