Seniors and residents with mobility problems will benefit from a Flin Flon city council measure.
Council voted Tuesday to cover this year’s insurance and registration costs for the Lions Handivan – a $4,536 expense.
This came at the request of the Lions Club, which runs the Handivan.
The Handivan operates with volunteer drivers. Vehicle costs are covered by fundraising and suggested donations for each ride provided.
Council also covered insurance and registration for the Handivan last year.
Also on Tuesday, council voted to spend $100 on advertising in the next Hapnot Collegiate yearbook.
The city will purchase two banner ads for $50 each.
