The Flin Flon Bombers rank near the bottom of this week’s Source Embroidery SJHL Power Rankings.
Flin Flon was 10th of 12 teams on the list, published on the SJHL website earlier this week.
“They defeated Yorkton on Friday (in a shootout), but lost to Melville Saturday so we’ll keep them a spot under Yorkton...for now,” read the rankings, which placed Yorkton ninth.
On the plus side, Bombers first-line winger Joel Kocur was listed as a hot player. Noted the rankings: “Bombers looking for offense outside the top line, but the top line is a good one.”
The week’s top team? The Battlefords North Stars, who had won five straight matchups and had seven players averaging more than a point per game.
The lowly La Ronge Ice Wolves finished last: “They play in a hornet’s nest of a division, which doesn’t help, but they’ve dropped their last five.”
