Nearly 25 area authors have collaborated on a book of short stories and poems.
The Flin Flon Writers’ Guild will release Words on the Rocks later this year.
“The idea is to get a taste for local writers,” said author Alex McGilvery. “We do have a lot of talent [in Flin Flon].”
Fiction and non-fiction short stories and poems will form the book. Many of the pieces submitted tell of life in the Flin Flon area.
Writers were limited to one piece each, as McGilvery says the book would have been the size of an encyclopedia otherwise.
Authors range in age from children to adults with a variety of styles and tales.
The Writers’ Guild meets the second Saturday of each month from September until June at the NorVA Centre.
