Shovelling snow.

Well, it's happening. Ugh.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for an area including Flin Flon, with between 10-25 centimetres of snow expected in some areas.

The area, including Flin Flon, Cranberry Portage, Snow Lake and nearby communities in Manitoba, will see parts of a Colorado low that hit southern Saskatchewan Sunday. That system is expected to move into Manitoba overnight Sunday, then continue into Monday morning before tapering off later in the day.

As of 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Flin Flon is expected to get 5-10 centimetres of snow Sunday night, another 5-10 centimetres overnight into Monday morning and another 2-4 centimetres heading into Monday evening. More snow is expected heading into Tuesday, though no amounts are specified in Environment Canada forecasting.

"Snow will continue overnight into Monday morning, then taper off from southwest to northeast later Monday into Monday night," reads the warning.

Along with that snow will be strong northerly winds that will blow the snowfall around. Visibility is likely to be reduced due to both the snowfall and wind, with drivers being asked to adjust their driving if road conditions deteriorate.

"Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow," reads the warning.
