Creighton RCMP are investigating why charred rubble is all that remains of an abandoned Denare Beach house. At about 7 a.m. yesterday, police and firefighters responded to a blaze at 2240 Lindsay Crescent, located 200 metres in the bush near the ball park. "It's destroyed. There's nothing left," said Cst. Corey Laird. Police said the cause of the fire is not yet known and their investigation is ongoing. The house was surrounded by forest, and flames charred several of the nearby trees. There were no injuries. Police ask anyone who may have information about the fire to contact them at 688-8888. Police said this same house was severely vandalized earlier this year, an incident that prompted the owner to offer a cash reward for information about the crime.
