The Bor_al Film Festival 2013 is returning to Flin Flon! Taking place this Friday and Saturday at the Flin Flon Community Hall, the festival will include several short and full-length screenings and free activities in French. Staff from Freeze Frame, Manitoba's media arts centre for young people, scout out the best films created especially for children and young adults from around the world. During the festival, participants will have the unique opportunity to see these films in French in Flin Flon. School and family programming will be available during the festival and kids of all ages can exercise their creativity at a Free Animation Station presented by Freeze Frame this Saturday, Feb. 9 from noon to 2:00 p.m. The movie schedule consists of: Friday, Feb. 8 Grades 4-6 @ 9:45 a.m. Grades 7-8 @ 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 Ages 5-plus @ 10 a.m. Ages 10-plus @ 1:30 p.m. Family @ 1 p.m. Student films @ 7 p.m. Calling all aspiring filmmakers! We're inviting young people from across northern Manitoba to enter our Youth Video Contests. Finalists will get to see their video on the big screen on Saturday, Feb. 9 and will have the chance to win some great prizes. Everyone is welcome! This is a great way to see the world though the eyes of young francophone directors, producers, editors cinematographers, actors and musicians as well as films created by French Immersion and Basic French students. It's all happening right here in Flin Flon!
