A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for
the week of Sept. 29 to
Oct. 5:
Monday, Sept. 29
• Report received of a vehicle illegally passing a vehicle on Third Avenue; complaint still under investigation.
• Report of vandalism to vehicle on Whitney Street.
• Male youth reported missing before being located and arrested on warrants from Prince Albert; remanded in custody and transported back to Prince Albert.
• Female youth reported missing after school before being located in local residence.
• Two adult males observed urinating in parking lot on Hapnot Street; due to intoxication level, they were arrested and lodged until sober; no charges laid.
• Report of dispute between neighbours; police attended and cooler heads prevailed.
• Report of theft of money; investigation revealed the spouse had taken the money; no charges applicable.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
• Report of an extremely intoxicated male at a residence on Hill Street becoming violent; police attended and male was lodged until sober; no charges laid.
• Police attended a residential alarm; investigation revealed the alarm was false as problems were being encountered by the homeowner.
• Police attended a residence twice within a 24-hour period due to a 911 call; both calls deemed to be false as homeowners were safe and did not call; rainy weather blamed for the mishap.
Wednesday, Oct. 1
• Report of a wallet stolen from a vehicle on Fifth Avenue; police remind the general public to please remove valuables from vehicles or keep them hidden from plain sight, and to keep unattended vehicles locked.
• Police dispatched to residence on Hill Street for an intoxicated female passed out; female located and lodged until sober; no charges laid.
• Police dispatched to local business for a disturbance; investigation showed the complaint was due to a parking situation; both parties resolved the issue themselves.
Thursday, Oct. 2
• Report of two intoxicated males harassing customers at a downtown business; police attended and located the males, who were found not to be intoxicated but were asking people for a ride back to their residence; both males complied with demands of store to leave the property.
• Report of three intoxicated males at the Flintoba Shopping Centre requesting patrons purchase mouthwash for them; police arrived and two males had left, but one remaining male was arrested and lodged until sober.
• Report of spouse not complying with custody order; the spouse was located and spoken to regarding the order.
• Report of intoxicated female lying on sidewalk on Hill Street; female located and arrested; police checks revealed she was wanted on outstanding warrants in Saskatchewan; she was remanded into custody.
Friday, Oct. 3
• Report of missing child; investigation revealed the child was missing from the previous day but was not reported; the child was located several hours later.
Saturday, Oct. 4
• Report of a stolen airsoft gun; the rifle was reported missing after the homeowner returned home and chased partygoers from his residence; the airsoft gun is a L96 sniper rifle model, black in colour with an orange tip.
• Police requested to locate a female adult; she was located a short time later and returned home.
• Police dispatched to a local business for a 911 call and hang-up; police attended and no concerns were noted; the call was believed to have been placed by children playing with a pay phone.
• Police were dispatched to a back lane behind a Main Street business for a reported fight; investigation revealed the fight was consensual; no charges applicable.
• Police dispatched to an apartment complex where a male was observed passed out in the basement; the male was woken up and stated he had returned home late and had tried to wake up his friend but the door was never answered.
Sunday, Oct. 5
• Police called to reports of an intoxicated male breaking a window at the Flin Flon Community Hall; the male was located and transported to the hospital, where he was treated for injuries; the male was turned over to a sober friend; investigation continuing.
• Report of a rock being thrown through the front doors of a Green Street business; matter still under investigation.
• Report of a vehicle having been rummaged through on Centennial Crescent; no items stolen.
• Police attended two false alarms at a grocery store; no attempts to gain entry were noted.
