At last month’s Festival of Trees, the Denare Beach Recreation Board received Best in Show honours for “Angel,” a Christmas tree in the likeness of one of those heavenly beings. After the festival ended, organizer Laurel Mackie (from left) presented a snow-globe trophy and colourful certificate to Loreen Elliott, Elfriede Reimer and Mary Wright.
