It’s all but official. The Canadian Press, along with the Flin Flon Reminder and multiple other news outlets, has projected that the Liberal Party of Canada will win tonight’s federal election and form government.

As of 9:20 p.m., it is unclear if the Liberal Party will form a minority or a majority government.

At that time, the Liberal Party led in 143 ridings, with the Conservative Party of Canada ahead in 103. The Bloc Quebecois led in 31 ridings, while the NDP were ahead in 20 ridings. One Green Party candidate was expected to win in New Brunswick, while no other party was expected to win a seat in Parliament.

More details will follow, including up-to-date numbers for northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan ridings.
