A vehicle rollover Saturday in The Pas claimed the lives of two passengers, both residents of the neighbouring Opaskwayak Cree Nation. The accident on Highway 10 also injured 16 people, most of whom had been riding in the box of the pickup truck. Both passengers who perished were 20 years old. One of them died at the scene while the other was transported to The Pas Health Complex before succumbing to injuries. The Pas RCMP kept details to a minimum but have charged two OCN residents, one for impaired driving and the other for dangerous driving and criminal negligence. The accident was reported at about 3:30 Saturday afternoon. The investigation is still underway.
