With their graduation next month, Hapnot Collegiate seniors will soon be looking to the future. But for one memorable night last week, they travelled to the past. The school's 2013 Fashion Show, subtitled Grads Gone '80s, took a packed gymnasium back to the decade of Ferris Bueller, Pac-Man and Cabbage Patch Kids. Yet the outfits the students displayed as they strutted down the catwalk looked anything but dated, showcasing some of the colourful styles available at local retailers. The show included performances from a youth band calling themselves The Scruffy Muffins, who got the crowd pumped with a top-notch rendition of Survivor's Eye of the Tiger (you know, the theme from Rocky IV). The show was put on by members of Hapnot's Class of 2013, and served as a major fundraiser for the June celebration.
