How much can you drink and not harm your baby? Nobody knows how much is safe to drink if you are pregnant. We do know the more a pregnant woman drinks, the more harm is done to the baby. Even if a pregnant woman only drinks a lot every few weeks, it is still dangerous for her unborn baby. If you stop drinking during your pregnancy you will have a healthier baby. The safest thing to do is not drink alcohol if you are pregnant. It is also best not to drink if you are planning to have a baby or are breastfeeding. The only safe amount of alcohol for a pregnant woman is absolutely none at all. For more information on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, contact the Flin Flon/Creighton FASD Committee at 687-8852.
