Six incidents kept Flin Flon firefighters busy last month, the latest fire chief’s report reveals:
Oct. 3, 12:54 pm: A residential fire alarm activated on Danard Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was false. The homeowner was sent a bill for the call. The fire chief and six firefighters.
Oct. 6, 5:45 pm: A residential fire alarm activated on Ross Street. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the alarm was false. The homeowner was sent a bill for the call. The fire chief and 12 firefighters responded.
Oct. 9, 8:38 pm: The fire alarm system activated inside the Green Street Apartments. Upon arrival, firefighters determined a resident had set off the alarm system by burning food on the stove. The apartment was ventilated and the alarm system reset by the building supervisor. The on-call officer and 11 firefighters responded.
Oct. 14, 4:32 pm: The RCMP requested assistance to remove a body from a Hill Street home. Firefighters assisted as requested. The fire chief and 13 firefighters responded.
Oct. 19, 7:41 pm: A caller stated a child was stuck in a fence in front of the Aspen Grove apartments. Upon arrival, firefighters cut the fence and removed the child. The on-call officer and 13 firefighters responded.
Oct. 25, 11:40 am: Ambulance required assistance removing a patient from a Harrison Street home. Upon arrival, firefighters removed the patient. The on-call officer and 12 firefighters responded.
