Creighton RCMP are cautioning the general public and local business community that a $20 counterfeit bill has been passed at the Creighton Bingo Hall. The bill was turned in to Creighton Police on July 2. It is the only one to surface so far. "The bill appeared to be scanned or photocopied with a color copier," said Cst. Richard Price of the Creighton RCMP. "It did not have the reflective sticker but was of fairly good quality." "We are asking all businesses to watch for any other bills, and to also watch for anyone trying to pass any similar type bills." Anyone with information about this is asked to contact Creighton RCMP (688-8888), or to call Crimestoppers (1-800-786-8477). On another matter, Creighton RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in apprehending the culprit(s) who smashed windows at SaskPower and Atlas Copco Construction and Mining in the Creighton industrial area, overnight July 3 to July 4.6/7/04
