Jonathon Naylor Editor Budding young scientists put their hypotheses to the test last week as Ruth Betts Community School hosted its 2012 science fair. Students from grades 2 to 8 entered about 60 projects in a fair that impressed organizer George Trevor. 'I felt the quality (was good),' he said. 'There were some fantastic projects and seeing the amount of involvement in the school is awesome. 'The way the students conducted their experiments, I liked seeing the scientific method being used and seeing them use it at an early level is really great.' While students in grades 4-8 were required to produce a science project, it was up to them whether they entered it in the fair. Trevor, a former Ruth Betts teacher now at Hapnot Collegiate, noted Ruth Betts will host the Regional Science Fair on March 16 and 17.
