Submitted by Flin Flon Alliance Church The Flin Flon Alliance Church is set to run the Alpha course this winter and will be inviting people to an introductory dinner party in the church on Feb. 22. The dinner party is designed to introduce people in the community to the Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. The evening is free and the course is open to anyone. Almost a million people in Canada have taken the Alpha course and more than eight million worldwide. Menno Giesbrecht helps run the Alpha course at Flin Flon Alliance Church. This gives people a chance to explore the spiritual side of life without being told what to believe. The way Alpha is run is that is allows people to explore faith together with others who are on a similar journey but without anyone trying to impose their ideas. Guests relax over the meal, have fun together, and discuss the deep things of life together. During the course people get to know one another, and relationships grow. And that's a great thing about Alpha - people become friends. Everyone in Flin Flon is invited to supper on February 22 at Flin Flon Alliance Church at 6 p.m. to launch the Alpha course in Flin Flon this winter. Phone Menno Giesbrecht at 687-6001 or the Flin Flon Alliance Church at 687-8498 to register or for more information. To search for a course near you, go to www.alphacanada.org.
