Excitement is building over the upcoming performance of the Borealis String Quartet in Creighton. The foursome will share their talents with a crowd at the Creighton Community Hall on Saturday, February 21. "There are no ways to express my feelings about them except to say 'Wow,'" expressed Linda Allen of the Flin Flon Arts Council, one of the sponsors of the performance. Borealis String Quartet, based in B.C., consists of Patricia Shih and Yuel Yawney, violins; Nikita Pogrebnoy, viola; and Joel Stobbe, cello. Allen said she was very impressed that the group placed second in a recent Canada-wide talent contest. "When a chamber group can place second in that type of competition, playing against rock bands and individual singers, they have something special," she commented. Tickets for the show are available at Northern Rainbow's End.
