The deadline is fast approaching to enter the Festival of Trees. Registration forms are to be completed and returned to the CADAC Centre in Creighton no later than Wednesday, Nov. 14. Groups, businesses and individuals are invited to enter in three categories: decorated tree, wreath and centrepiece. The festival, this year carrying a theme of 'Winter Reflections,' will be held Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Creighton Community School gymnasium. Entries will be judged by a secret panel of judges who will pick the winners. As well, members of the public will select the People's Choice winners. All trees, wreathes and centrepieces will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with proceeds going to CADAC for its alcohol and drug-prevention initiatives. The Festival of Trees, which was originally held at the Creighton Sportex, has grown into a popular holiday tradition.
